Resignation from MoFA - Roavin - 03-16-2022
Fellow South Pacificans,
I'll write more about this at some point, but I hereby resign from my Cabinet Position, effective such that it coincides with the coming MoD special election (in hopes of making it easier for our poor overworked EC). I will retire shortly after.

I have taken notice of the resignation submitted by Minister of Foreign Affairs Roavin, intended to be made effective upon the beginning of the special election for Minister of Defence. In accordance with the Elections Act and my statement from March 06, which refers to the moment upon which a vacancy can be determined to have occurred, I would like to announce the following:

I have taken notice of the resignation submitted by Minister of Foreign Affairs Roavin, intended to be made effective upon the beginning of the special election for Minister of Defence. In accordance with the Elections Act and my statement from March 06, which refers to the moment upon which a vacancy can be determined to have occurred, I would like to announce the following:
- I will not hold a special election until such a time as I find definitive proof that a vacancy has occurred.
- The special election for Minister of Defence will begin on 23 March 2022, when the special election for Prime Minister will be certified and the term of Moon as such is set to begin.

Indeed, the intent was to allow the EC to start both elections simultaneously to lessen the workload.
