Democratic Reform Party - Darkstrait - 01-16-2015 [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND] The Democratic Reform Party is a political organization dedicated to bringing new, democratic changes to TSP. The political ideology is as follows: 1. Support democracy, but only if it is truly democratic. 2. Just because things work now doesn't mean that they can't work better. 3. To quote the philosopher Voltaire: "I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." If you're interested, send me a PM or post below. RE: Democratic Reform Party - Kris Kringle - 01-16-2015 Here are some questions: 1. How exactly do you determine if democracy is sufficiently 'democratic'? 2. Obviously things can work better. What kind of improvements does your party suggest? As for the democracy, the whole 1% thing that has been brought up is a decent indicator. RE: Democratic Reform Party - Kris Kringle - 01-16-2015 I...still don't understand what you mean by that. I mean, how can democracy not be democratic? RE: Democratic Reform Party - TAC Saxton - 01-16-2015 Basically, he created a political party centered around Tsu's Bicameral proposal. It's more like a support group than a political party though. Well, it's democracy, where if you show up you can vote, but not everyone has easy access. I'm thinking of keeping it going beyond the Grand Council if I can get more members and more support. RE: Democratic Reform Party - TAC Saxton - 01-16-2015 Just a heads up, political parties in TSP have a history of not succeeding. I think the most notable political party in the history of TSP was theĀ Coalition for Open Government. |
