Rating: Vhe'mat Khol (A Syrixian rating, basically one between PG-13 and R)
Movie Overview/Synopsis: We'll start with the Nebulan invasion of Syrixia. This was how Nebula came onto the international scale. Socialist partisans in Syrixia began to riot as they wanted the separation of Parliament from a unified assembly into an assembly of political parties. Eventually these socialists hatched a deal with Nebula, an expansionist (and socialist) nation in the northeast of TNP, to launch a joint attack agianst Syrixia and create a socialist Nebulan puppet state there. Eventually Syrixia agreed to split Parliament into political parties and the socialists subsequently signed a treaty with the Syrixian government, turning on Nebula. Nebula and Syrixia, from that day forth, were sworn enemies.
However, the conflict did not stop there. It reignited in Rhuvanland, a small nation near Trinster. Rhuvanland was under incompetent leadership which put the country in economic Hell. Syrixia offered to give it economic assistance in exchange for it becoming a protectorate. Rhuvanland accepted however groups of conservatives in the western parts of the country did not, and the country was split into the Free Republic of West Rhuvanland and the Protectorate of East Rhuvanland. While East Rhuvanland prospered, West Rhuvanland was mired in a war as Nebula, always looking to expand, tried to install a socialist puppet state there. Eventually East Rhuvanland and Syrixia, as well as West Rhuvish forces, helped to repel the Nebulans, and the Nebulans then focused on another area; the small, governmentless strip of land Nebula dubbed "Galacta".
Some Galactans, however, were not content, and after Galacta was fully integrated and annexed into Nebulan territory, these people founded the Galactan Liberation Front and began to rebel for the cause of creating an independent Galactan state. The Nebulan government declared the GLF a terrorist group. Meanwhile, in Rhuvanland, the East had finally reached its economic quota for reunification, and with the promise of helping the West continue its recovery by the East in mind, Rhuvanland was reunified after a conference between Syrixia and Kannex, the latter of whom helped West Rhuvanland, though did not make it a protectorate as Syrixia did the East, which also received more economic aid due to their protectorate status. The newly unified Federal Republic of Rhuvanland condemned Nebula for its repeated fits of expansionism and imperialism, and began financing the GLF.
In response, the Nebulans condemned Rhuvanland for funding what they called a terrorist group, and threw up a blockade on Rhuvanland's coasts. During this time, there was a brief period of peace in Rhuvanland as all eyes were once again on Syrixia. The leader of the Church of Syrixia had been murdered and there was also a failed attempt on the life of the Prime Minister, Alfred Nursson. This was done by an extremist organization called the Order of the Loyal, that refused to accept the united Rhuvanland and wanted total separation of the conservatives from the liberals, which included a lack of relations. Eventually, troops from Syrixia and its ally Ceretis infiltrated the Order's HQ and disbanded it, but not before the Order kidnapped and killed the Cronaal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eden Hall.
To make matters worse, Rhuvanland eventually issued an ultimatum saying that they would mobilize if the blockade was not removed and Nebula worked towards peace. Nebula did not want to work towards peace and did not remove the blockade, and after the murdering by blockade ships of the crew of an innocent Rhuvish trading boat that did not care for the blockade, Rhuvanland mobilized. Nebula, soon after, declared war. As Rhuvanland was a member of the Helmebaine Alliance, fellow members Trinster and Kannex declared war. Syrixia also entered the war, but indirectly, only supplying arms and vehicles among other things, as it was the occupier of NPTO's Deputy Chair, and did not want to set the image of a warring nation in a peace organization.
Meanwhile, in Cronaal, uprisings killed many as people were discontent with the murder of Eden Hall by the Order in Syrixian territory, and that Syrixia should have responded quicker. Syrixia apologized and eventually passed an act upping the ante on Syrixian security, but it wasn't enough. While the Cronaal government first sided with Syrixia, it eventually turned on Syrixia, albeit indirectly. The Queen of Cronaal, Diana II, grew insane and even tortured the Syrixian ambassador to Cronaal. She then declared war on both Nebula and Rhuvanland, and sent a fleet to Rhuvanland to wreak havoc and kill, with no other aims than that.
Kannexan and Rhuvish forces forced the Nebulans out of Rhuvanland and they moved to the Kannexan protectorate of Pelhafor, which was already mired in civil unrest and was on the brink of revolution. However by the time Cronaal's forces arrived at Rhuvanland they were surrounded and Nebulan forces were no longer present, as mentioned before. As Diana II grew more and more insane, Wolfish/Syrixian/Nebulan/Rhuvish forces pushed into Cronaal's interior. Syrixia had the Cronaal capital, Smithworks, surrounded, so Diana went kamikaze and detonated a nuclear warhead in a bunker under the city. Nothing and no one survived except the Syrixian soldiers outside the city and a few citizens.
After the tragedy peace was immediately declared, and Cronaal was temporarily split into occupation zones. Other than that, it was a white peace. However, tension between Nebula and Syrixia continued to rise, and Cronaal was partially unified into a socialist/communist northern Nebulan puppet state and a democratic/capitalist southern free state.

Running Time:

Rating:

Synopsis:
Weird but Wonderful is a short, light hearted documentary about Imkitopia island's most unique creature; the Two-headed Phoenix. This breathtakingly beautiful film, narrated by the RIZFA (Royal Imkitopian Zoological Film Association) rising star Reda Noctua, follows Hyde; a young male, as he boldly struggles through the trials of trying to find love. Will our double headed hero prevail and start a family or will he be spending his days alone? Find out if two heads are better than one when it comes to finding love in the tropical Imkitopian jungles!
The darkness of the theatre lifts slightly as the projector flickers into life, the quiet background noise of murmuring and rustling fades as patrons settle down to watch the newest entry of the film festival...
Black becomes a flawless azure which slowly deepens in colour as the camera pans down smoothly, taking in the beautifully clear midday sky. A sparkling ocean comes in to view, gentle waves moving on it's surface catching the bright sunlight and dazzling it back to the camera in stark contrast to the much darker blue of the water. The sound of distant waves becomes apparent as the picture rests with the horizon centred and a soft, male voice floats across the idyllic scene;
"This is tropical Imkitopia, more specifically this is Verpa island. A tiny, protected island in the South Pacific Ocean. This island is known for it's fantastic jungles which are home to many different species, but is particularly known for its bird life."
The picture begins to pan again, this time to the left, and a sandy beach comes in to view. Twigs litter the shoreline and it's soon clear why as the image continues to move, bringing a wild mass of vegetation into the scene. The thickets seemed to comprise of every shade of green imaginable and then some! Flowers and foliage of all different shapes and sizes hide in the shade of large, gnarled palm trees. Hardy little shrubs and grasses fight bravely against the encroaching sand, creating small dunes. A large, vibrant butterfly lazily flaps by as the voice continues;
"While Imkitopia is full of natural beauty and amazing creatures, we are here for just one. A particularly unusual one, even for a this unusual little country."
The paradise scene vanishes and is replaced by a large round eye, bright russet in colour, it's wild round pupil darting about frantically. Music begins in the background, a light, bouncy tune played on a flute.
"This is the science baffling wonder that is the Two-headed Phoenix!"
The image zooms out and, against a backdrop of green, a dumpy little bird with fabulous iridescent feathers becomes apparent, sitting on a branch deep amongst the trees. It is glaringly obvious how the avian gained at least part of it's name with it's two, seemingly independent, heads topping necks that branch out from the same breast making short, sharp movements, constantly on the look out for anything in the verdant surroundings. Short, slightly curved beaks topped with small, fleshy bulbs meld to smooth feathered heads that aren't quite as monochromatic as they first appear. Grey feathers have a prismatic effect on the dappled jungle light playing across them, shifting through an oil slick rainbow of hues with every movement. As the sleek heads sweep back and down to become necks the feathers become elongated, especially around the back of the head and chest. An almost plump looking body covered in those same colour changing feathers nestles below a pair of comparatively large folded wings that bare black and white banding just visible along the tips. The bird's back continues on till it becomes broad tail feathers, two extra large, gaudy feathers sweep towards the ground, displaying an elaborate, technicoloured feast of markings, the jewel of which are the eerily realistic eyeballs at the ends.
"Also known as the Two-headed Pigeon, this remarkable bird exists only on these small islands. The name Phoenix comes from the native mythology that they only nested at the very top of Mount Kiikii, a once active volcano, and that they could control it's eruptions at whim. Even today it is considered extremely bad luck to hurt one."
The bird perks up, seemingly noticing something off camera, it ruffles it's magnificent feathers. Long crests raising from the back of dual heads, hackles and chest bristling and tail fanning out, it suddenly looked a lot more befitting such a glorious namesake.
"While in Imkitopia, Phoenixes are now popular pets and competitors in the frequent, festive sporting events known as Phoenix races, we decided to get a permit, take a small camera crew and follow the life of a young male in the more secluded natural habitat of the deep jungles of Verpa island. We have dubbed this handsome adolescent, Hyde."
Unknown agitation apparently gone, 'Hyde' relaxes, feathers settling back down into their original sleek appearance, one wide eyed head twists unnaturally backwards and starts combing through the primary feathers on his wing while the remaining head stays aloft to keep a twitchy lookout for signs of anything edible or dangerous.
"Hyde needs to make sure he looks his absolute best if he wants to have any chance with the ladies, competition for a mate is tough and he lacks the experience possessed by the older males. Like many members of the bird family, the male of the species is a lot brighter and more extravagant than the much simpler looking females who lack the colourful plumage and luxurious long tail feathers. "
The camera changes to another angle, moving back and to the side to capture more of the surrounding branches. Mottled sunlight shines through the leaves and over the tree bark, bathing the scene in a warm, mossy glow. Hyde, still visible on his branch, straightens up again, feathers fluffing out to increase his size as he senses something. Another twin headed bird flutters down from the canopy and lands on the branch beside the puffed up male to stare at him with four baleful eyes.
The disembodied voice spoke up again, still gentle but peaking with a hint of uncontainable excitement as the music slows down, taking a more romantic tone;
"Here's a female now! Can our young Romeo impress her?"
Crest feathers fully extended as he spreads his wings, displaying the striking, striped black and white undersides fully for the first time, Hyde throws his heads back with a loud, inelegant screech and shakes his tail feathers rapidly. Swaying from left to right around the watchful female, trying to surround her with his impressive wingspan, his heads take turns bobbing back up and bowing to the female before being thrown back behind and out of view again. He keeps up this impressive performance for a while, following the female as she hops to a lower branch but it appears it is all in vein as the duller coloured bird loses interest and, as quickly as she arrived, is gone.
"The Phoenix's mating dance is a brilliant sight and our young Hyde gave it his best shot but unfortunately it wasn't good enough for that female. The males can spend days putting on displays for females and the one with the boldest plumage and well synchronised head movements will attract the best females to be able to settle down and start the next generation."
A deflated Hyde hops back to his original high branch and resumes his erratic lookout for potential food, dangers and love interests. He doesn't have to wait long before a different female bird is landing on the branch beside him, this one is smaller than the last, both smooth, grey heads quizzically following his movements as, undefeated by his last rejection, Hyde gallantly begins his elaborate show again. Feathers fluff and wings stretch, that same horrible cry, the head bobbing... He works his fantastic plumage, stark patterns on his underside contrasting the brilliant colours reflecting from his upper half, the bird really is giving it all he's got and it seems to be working! The smaller female, more interested, begins mimicking his movements with slight bobs of her own heads as she eagerly edges towards him.
"It looks like our little Casanova may be in luck, this young female has taken a liking to him!"
The two birds get closer and closer, Hyde continuing his frantic display till they're chest to chest. In unison the pair straighten up, all four heads pointing at the sky and beginning to knock their beaks together. Each head snapping it's beak from side to side with the other bird, making a clicking duet. The romantic music reaches a crescendo then slowly gets quieter as the screen fades to black, a heart shape lingering around the four heads, necks and beaks entwined, before they too faded away. That soft male voice that had accompanied the lovely imagery throughout the film concludes wistfully;
"Hyde has done it, he's found himself a mate, the pair will stay together throughout the summer and hopefully build a nest, lay an egg and begin raising the next generation. Unfortunately we have to leave Verpa but we wish our little friends all the best for the future! May Imkitopia island's many weird but wonderful creatures never stop amazing us!"
...The lights in the theatre come up as the credits roll. The hustle and bustle begins again as people adjust to the brightness and get ready for what's to come next. Someone in the audience can be overheard discussing the film with a friend;
"Soo... It was a cute little documentary about a weird bird tryna finda girlfriend right? It was very pretty lookin', guy had a nice voice too."

Synopsis: When chef and blogger Carissa Bellentano’s teenage son Kevin went missing, she pulled out all stops to find him. As much as she hated it, she even enlisted the support of her ex-husband and Kevin’s father, Dario Scandone, a Kingsville police officer. She used her Internet celebrity status to ask for help in finding her son.
To her disbelief, she found out through Kevin’s e-mails and internet posts that her son joined the Unnone d’Almano, the banned neopagan cult that worships a minor pagan god, Slammico. Unnone d’Almano’s recruitment strategy targets young individuals through the internet. Reports of teenagers and young people running away from their homes to join Unnone d’Almano are increasing.
Its worship is characterised by its members’ usage of hallucinogenic plants for divination, but in reality, it is a tool for its megalomaniac founder, Carlopietro “Supremo” Capra, to control his adherents. As the Nord-Brutlandese government moved in to suppress the cult, Supremo used his control over the cultists to fight back. Unnone d’Almano became violent, with drugged adherents attacking subways, bombing government buildings, assassinating the country’ leaders, torching churches, and conducting grisly killings of detractors and critics, all in the name of their god. Posting these actions in the internet further sowed fear into the population and paradoxically gained more recruits. Supremo declared the creation of the Statto Slammico, which aimed to subjugate Brutland and Norden under Slammico, with Supremo at the helm.
Carissa’s struggle to bring back her son morphed into resistance to the Statto Slammico. She started to criticize the Unnone d’Almano and led the fight of netizens against the cult. Supremo had her in his sights as a critic that should be disposed of. Her identity was stolen and her computer was hacked, her house was firebombed, and she was trailed by assassins. Carissa was saved repeatedly by Dario and several of her followers in social media. Foiled in his other plans, Supremo finally sent a drugged Kevin to kill his mother.
Kevin shot his mother and burned the body. He posted the video of the killing in the Internet, where it went viral. Kevin became the “boy who killed his mother for Slammico”. With his actions, Statto Slammico was both reviled and feared by the populace. He was exalted by the fighters of the Statto Slammico and rose to the top of the organization immediately. The Supremo was impressed at the boy’s capability and prowess, and to the lengths he will go to for the Statto Slammico.
To showcase their power and untouchability, the Supremo arranged for a large midsummer gathering in a cave in the island of Piscierettu to offer sacrifices and pay tribute to Slammico. All of the high priests, the diviners, and many of the adherents attended the gathering. Kevin convinced Supremo to give him the privilege of preparing the ordinary ritual hallucinatory drinks, helped by Kevin’s loyal follower, Oscar.
Kevin secretly drugged the ritual drink with plants that induce a lucid trance and increased suggestibility, a tactic he observed from Supremo himself. Gaining control of the adherents and high priests, he turned them against Supremo. Channelling Slammico, Kevin denounced Supremo as a false prophet to the high priests and the adherents. Supremo tried to contradict the teenager, but Kevin’s power over the congregation became too strong: they believed that Kevin was Slammico berating Supremo. Supremo and his few remaining followers were attacked and killed by the frenzied and drugged congregation. Kevin then told the gathering that the death of the Supremo will not be enough to expiate the sins they did in the name of Slammico. Oscar lighted up incenses made with flowers of the Devil’s apple, inducing visions of hell and catastrophe in the congregation, who cowered in fear and terror. Police closed in to arrest the dazed congregation, marking the end of the Statto Slammico.
The last scene shows Kevin calmly walking out of the cave to reunite with his father, as flashbacks tell the real unclouded story: Kevin did attack her mother on the Supremo’s orders, intending to kill her. But Kevin was thwarted by his father, who had to contend with shooting his son to save his ex-wife. Shocked back into reality with his actions, Kevin faked his mother’s death, complete with internet videos. Protected by Dario, Carissa went into hiding. Kevin dovetailed back to Unnone d’Almano and plotted its destruction, culminating in that fateful midsummer gathering.

“Unlike the mass-market commercial films from Studio Multiversal, Marco Grana’s L’Ore d’Axe is a wonderful art film. This engaging thriller will have you rooting for the protagonists even though their cause seemed bleak.”
- the newspaper L’Unnone (Kingsville)
“The genius of L’Ore d’Axe is further heightened by the performance of Ruth Morricone and Bricco Callegaro. Morricone’s performance here is possibly the best in her career so far: the complex role of Internet celebrity, negligent mother, and heartbroken lover is tricky to play. Award-winning actor Bricco Callegaro performs to expectations. Callegaro’s warped character Kevin is as complex as his mother’s. While at first the viewer will experience disgust and anger at the rebellious teenager, at the end the viewer will root for him as the only hope against the continuous onslaught of Supreme evil. He is like a superhero without special powers, but you never knew until the end whether which side is he on.”
– the newspaper l’Arciducosso (Dennville)
“No one can bomb the Avenide di Ministerri as good as the special effects team of L’Ore d’Axe. While the movie portrays neopagans in a negative light, the storyline is the only thing objectionable in this movie. The execution and visual effects are stunning.”
– the newspaper La Pagano di Piscierettu (Piscierettu)
“What I like the most about L’Ore d’Axe is its very subtle plot twist: you never knew the plot twisted until the very end. For much of the time after Carissa was ‘killed’, victory of the malevolent forces seemed assured, with only minor characters continuing the hopeless fight. And then one of the erstwhile antagonists emerges with seemingly nefarious intentions, culminating in a power struggle. For a while it seemed that more evil succeeds evil, until the stunning reversal at the end. No wonder Supremo was fooled; the audience was fooled, everyone was fooled.”

The Southern Socialist Union (with the exception of Darkstrait, who sides with Ryccia) declare war against Ryccia and its ally, Qvait. Qvaitican President Mitchell, fearing a full-scale invasion, decides to annihilate the Sporaltryan military with a nuclear first strike. The Ryccian Prime Minister, horrified, informs Mitchell that the invasion of Sporaltryus wasn't authorized. He tries to abort the missile launch, but the Ryccian King, who supports the war, changes the missile's self-destruct code with help from the General. Ryccia and Qvait contact the leaders of Sporaltryus, Darkstrait and Bruuma, to reveal the missile's location so that it can be destroyed before it hits. However, President Daniels of Sporaltryus informs the other leaders that Sporaltryus has developed a doomsday device, that would automatically launch thousands of nuclear missiles if the country was attacked first. After the King and the General are captured by the Ryccian military, they reveal the self-destruct code, but it's revealed to be a fake one once the Qvaiticans try to use it. A Sporaltryan fighter plane, out of desperation, shoots the missile down, but that only causes it to fall and detonate, triggering the doomsday device and destroying the world.
La Mostra (The Exhibition)

“La Mostra is one of the most dramatic and shocking plays in my entire career. Director Giordano Mazzi has successfully achieved a picture that combines the right amount of drama with the empathy that keeps us invested in what happens to the protagonist.”
Gina Fallaci, Il Tolsano
“I never imagined myself looking forward to this kind of movie, but this masterpiece from the imagination of Giordano Mazzi has certainly achieved that. La Mostra is this year’s must-see!”
Mason Gallagher, Crownsville Reporter
“La Mostra has broken the many schemes that shaped the artistic world, truly deserving its place among legendary productions.”

Synopsis:
We open viewing a plate with rotten food, which then moves to a hand painting on a canvas, which then reveals the face of our protagonist. Carlo is painting on a half-finished canvas, the latest in a long line of masterpieces that have led him to being one of the best known artists in Tolsen. He fills art galleries every time he unveils a new exhibition and the few paintings he does not sell are added to the private collection of Count Trevisan, his benefactor and friend.
What few know is that Carlo is mentally unstable. He secludes himself at his house as soon as he starts getting ideas for paintings, and he will not let anyone in or go out himself until he feels he has accomplished a masterpiece. Sometimes it takes a week. Sometimes it takes a month. Sometimes it takes more than a year. Count Trevisan does know and is increasingly worried about his friend, even if he pretends to be as oblivious as everyone else.
A week has passed since he last secluded himself, and this time he has been so immersed in his painting that he refused to eat whatever food his landlady had brought him. He finishes the painting of a dark landscape with an angel at the centre, the details so realistic that his landlady left the room without uttering a single word once she saw it, and he knows that his masterpiece is there.
Comes the night of the exhibition, where he will unveil his latest artwork. Count Trevisan is in attendance, smiling at everyone and introducing them to Carlo, who seems uninterested in talking to people and keeps stumbling with others. He had made a mistake, he had not touched any food for a whole week, and that had taken a toll on him. Just as he was unveiling his painting in front of everyone, he felt sudden flash, and everything went black.
Carlo woke up in his room, the Count looking at him with a worried face. He told him that things could not be like that anymore and that a nurse had been assigned to him, until he proved he could take care of himself. Carlo resisted and tried to get up, proving that he was fine, but he was so weak that it took all of his strength just to pull of the bed sheets, let alone move his own body.
Count Trevisan then introduces Stella, the nurse that has been hired to take care of him. Carlo stops arguing at once and stares awkwardly at her, causing her to look nervously at the Count. There was nothing awkward for Carlo, though, who in Stella had seem an infinitely more perfect version of the angel that he had painted in his previous masterpiece. In her he saw the culmination of his work, a way to fuse art and life in ways never done before.
He thus secludes himself and begins working on his new painting, again ignoring the food his landlady brings. He has just refused lunch when Stella arrives, disapproving his seclusion practices and forcing him to eat, which he dutifully does just so he can keep looking at her. Once he finishes eating, he continues painting, suddenly inspired and feeling more skilful than usual They keep this routine day after day, month after month, him refusing to eat until she arrives, then painting art such as the world had never seen. Still, he kept feeling that something was missing, that his masterpiece was missing.
Then it hit him. He took a blank canvas and started painting, one full day, until he finished. He then took another blank canvas and started painting, another full day, until he finished. He continued doing this for an entire month, until he was satisfied with what he had done. He had not let Stella see his paintings, though, unlike the ones he had finished when she first arrived. He sent a message to Count Trevisan, asking him to arrange an exhibition for that night.
A curious man, the Count tried to find out what the masterpiece looked like, but Carlo would not say. Quite unusual, but then Carlo was the unusual fellow. Count Trevisan agreed to organise the exhibition, inviting the most exclusive families to the gala. He saw Carlo in a much better shape than last time, but somehow more nervous. Once the paintings were uncovered, however, the Count could see why.
Carlo approached Stella, who had been invited, and then gave the order to uncover the paintings. They were all her. Some were standing. Some were lying down. Some were dressed in the most fashionable clothes of the time. But the central piece was her dressed as the angel in his previous masterpiece. He confessed his love for her then and there, saying that he had known it the first time he saw here and that he was the only one who could free him from his obsession with art.
Stella froze, clueless as to how she should respond. He was quite handsome, but he was also unstable, a danger to himself and to others. She apologised, said that he meant so much to her, but that it could not be, not like that. He had to set himself straight, before she could even consider it. She then left the hall, sad but relieved at the same time.
This left Carlo lost for words, breathless. He left the exhibition in a rush, despite the best attempts of the Count to keep him there. He ran with no direction, escaping from some formless figure that he thought he saw in an alley, or maybe it was just the shadow of his disappointment and desperation. Either way, once he stopped running he fell to his knees, and they the next thing he remembered was once again waking up in his room, Stella next to his bed, with a forced smile.
He stood up and led her to the door. He told her he no longer needed her services, and that he had work to do, work that required a new environment, and no distractions. He ignored all her protests, all her warnings, all her confusion. Once the Count came, he dismissed him too, claiming that his next work would be his last, and it would be perfect. Was there anything at all he could do, the Count asked. Well yes, said Carlo to himself, there actually was.
Comes the sixth month of his latest seclusion. Carlo is now living in a country house that Count Trevisan bought for him, as his last favour before leaving. Since then he has been trying all sorts of different styles, all sorts of different scenes, all sorts of different paintings. Still, nothing comes close to what he wants, what he needs. He keeps thinking of Stella, of her rejection, of her claims that he is unstable and should get himself together, and he starts ripping apart his canvases, destroying his artwork. All useless.
- MAJOR SPOILERS -
He is at his lowest point, not having eaten in weeks, not having drank in days, when he realises what he needs to do, the kind of sacrifice that must be done in the name of art, in the name of love. He takes his last surviving canvas, and begins the paint. Once finished, he sends a message to the Count and asks him to arrange an exhibition, his last, so he can unveil the masterpiece that will show the depths of his commitment as an artist, the depths of the pain he has put himself through.
That night, however, there is no exclusivity, not invitations. Carlo has specifically requested that everyone be allowed in, and that Stella be given a front seat at the unveiling of his lone painting. Everyone is waiting, wondering that that lone, covered canvas is, when Carlo makes his entrance. His clothes dirty, severely dehydrated, at first sight nothing more than a walking ghost, the painter does prove to be quite lucid, when he explains the process that led him to that night.
“I thought long and hard on the theme of this exhibition. Certainly, it has not been easy; the path that an artist chooses to follow never is. Still, that very same difficulty, and my love for Stella, finally led me to some clarity of mind, one that I had not experienced before.
For long I thought that a masterpiece was impossible, that I was doomed to seclude myself time and time again for nothing. I was wrong. A true masterpiece is possible, but only if I push the boundaries of morals and reality, if I imitate reality in a way no man has ever done before.
Stella, this is how I do it.”
Carlo then pulled out a knife and, before anyone could even react to what was about to happen, slit his throat. Chaos ensued, people ran away in panic, while the Count uselessly called for help. Stella did neither; she approached the dying Carlo and caressed his cheek. She saw his finger point to the covered canvas, the one object to which nobody was paying attention anymore.
Just as Carlo exhaled his last breath, Stella uncovered a painting that depicted that very scene. Him on the floor, panic all around, and her uncovering the canvas. There was an inscription near the bottom right corner, signed by Carlo himself: “Did I achieve true art, at least?”. It was now her time to panic.
The Conquest
Country of origin: Ryccia
Title: The Conquest

Major Cast:
Isaac Vistrok as Tak
Erik Rastrog as Tepic
Edward Tinahi as Emperor Elir
Larry Leo as General Aaron Arvastrar
Hector Xinira as King Otto II
Extras as Soldiers, servants, etc.
Genre: History(I guess?)
Running Time: 95 minutes
Rating: R
Synopsis: The movie's setting is in Ancient Ryccia, in The Great Conquest. The movie is based on true events in the Lyccian Empire.
The movie starts in Castiana, where King Otto II orders General Aaron Arvastrar to lead an expedition to the south, with 100 troops. The expedition is meant to see if there is civilization south of the Ryccian Empire.
General Aaron leads the expedition, and finds the Lyccian Empire(Aralia was known to the Ryccians). He enters a village, in where Tak, a legendary warrior, lives. He shakes his hand, and they try to communicate with each other. After trading and communicating with some villagers, and after also finding the Azimi Caliphate, he returns to Castiana to tell Otto II about his discovery.
Aaron told Otto II all about it: That there were two countries south of Ryccia. Otto II then orders an invasion of the three countries: Aralia Kingdom, Lyccian Empire and Azimi Caliphate. With 100,000 troops at his command, he first conquered Aralia.
The news got to Tak's village, and the people were scared, but did not think that they would get there.
But they were wrong.
Aaron invades Lyccia, and he then arrives to Tak's village. When Tak sees Aaron's face, he stares, and says to himself: "I've should had known"
Tak escapes, leaving his village and family behind, which is in flames. He then goes to the forest and quickly crafts a bow and some arrows. He then hides, awaiting the Ryccians to come by the road.
A small group of 30 soldiers march with his wife and children chained, probably enslaved. He then attacks, and hits the commander of the group.
The 30, now 29, armed with swords, stand vigilant, as Tak kills them, one by one. The soldiers try to determine where he is, but their attempts are futile, as he swiftly moves through the area.
After running out of arrows and 10 soldiers are left, he bravely jumps on top of a soldier, stealing his sword and quickly slaying the Ryccians. He then liberates his family and goes to Imperial City, the capital of the Lyccian Empire.
There he meets Emperor Elir, in where he offers his services to the emperor. The emperor, knowing Tak as a legendary warrior, gladly accepts and orders him to direct an army against an army of Ryccians in the northwest, along with Tepic, a general of the Lyccian Army.
He traveled to the northwest with his army. He camped near the battlesite, where they prepared for battle.
The battle began in a meadow. Tak's army clashed with a Ryccian army, and won.
They went to their camp soon after, but he then learned that Imperial City was under attack. He was ordered to reinforce the defenses, and went there.
When he got there, he found the city in ashes. He saw how the emperor was killed by a group of Ryccian soldiers, how the Ryccians took the civilians as slaves. His family was among them.
He then attacked them in the city, but it was in vain. He then soon escaped, as his country had fallen, and his army was destroyed.
He vowed to take revenge on the Ryccians.
He assasinated Aaron when he was staying in Imperial City. Aaron was feasting on his victory, but Tak assasinated him and his generals.
Meanwhile in Castiana, his family was brought by the soldiers to work in the castle as slaves. Tak traveled there, and he found Tepic. He wanted to take revenge as well.
They then prepared to assasinate the King.
They broke in to the castle, and knocked down some guards, silently. The King, in his throne, was astonished when they came. They then killed the King, and escaped the castle.
Tak then saved his family, and they escaped.
As Tak and Tepic parted ways, they returned to their villages. They started a new life.

Synopsis: Dect Andrew Parei (Tane) drives in heavy rain after a long day's work, fails to see a pileup that has occurred in this heavy rain, and goes into a brief coma after the accident.
Fast-forward a week later, Parei returns to work. Police chief (Tipene) asks Parei to focus on rest and recuperating, but is quickly interrupted by a fellow officer who rushes in with an urgent case of a pakeha woman from Sovonor (Kendrick) who needs to locate her lost relative(Note: Relations between the pakeha (white) and the Maori are still high at this time, given the recent announcement that the police have instituted a new policy to not ticket the Maori for traffic violations, instead sending them for driving lessons. Maori are thus viewed by the pakeha with suspicion).
The Sovonoran woman is initially reluctant to work with Dect Parei, given their differences in social class, hers pakeha, and him Maori, but does so upon the insistence of the police chief that Parei was 'the best detective they had'.
Visibly shaken by the disappearance of such a close relative, the woman is unable to provide useful evidence for investigations, leading to Parei and the woman having to travel extensively in order to reconstruct the scene of the crime. The two of them invariably grow closer, spending time together, although Parei was indeed quite suspicious of the woman's identity. Who was she? And who was this man whom she deemed so important, so much that she asked that police 'spare no efforts to find him'?
Eventually, Parei has come to realise that the crime scenes were in fact places he used to frequent. It all seemed so familiar, but he couldn't quite remember why. This woman, she seemed like somewhat close to him, knowing what he likes and his interests, but he came no closer to finding the truth, as members of the Sporaltryan mafia (Niĉjo and others) carry out a shooting at a cafe he dined at with the woman. Parei momentarily loses consciousness, but retains memory of the incident.
When he awakens again, the same woman, whose name we learn to be Anna, comes in. Parei thinks Anna has came to visit him, but she has in fact come to ask him for help in another disappearance case, the circumstances of which are similar to the first. Parei grows increasingly suspicious of this 'Anna', and begins to corrobate the circumstances of the case, only for Anna to realise that Parei had not actually lost his memory this time round.
Anna breaks down in front of Parei, and reveals that she is in fact his girlfriend from prior to the crash. She also reveals that the gunmen were hired by her as a diversion to prevent Parei from discovering her identity, for fear that he would reject her, given the tension between the pakeha and the Maori.
Anna is sentenced to 6 years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder. In that time, Parei visits her and expresses his desire to marry her, despite disapproval from the greater elements of society. On the day of Anna's release, they get married in the prison chapel.
(End of film shows shot of Anna and Parei on the beach with their children, anti-discrimination laws having been put in place as a result of the social movement brought about by Parei's marriage)

Synopsis:
After a string of crimes, Inspector Adam Watt, and his partner Detective Bill Kent, finally close in on the perpetrator, who is revealed as Lily Smith. However as the inspector goes to make the arrest, Daisy Johns and Emily Clarke step out of the shadows, both holding guns. One of them then fires a shot at the light in the room, causing the room to go dark. By the time the detective was able to find his torch, all three of the criminals were gone. They run outside, but there is no trace of them.
Having now seen there were three of them, and knowing their identities, the pair of them go back to their base and work out where to go from there.
Weeks pass, with no new leads, until they receive reports of a sighting. However this sighting was in a distant corner of SJS Republic, where there was a rebellion taking place. The full might of the SJS Republic Army was fighting there, but they were making little progress against the foreign supported rebels.
The two police officers, unwilling to lose their quarries, enlist the help of a small group of retired, elite troops. With the help of these troops, they make the long, rugged journey to the edge of the war zone. They go to a large town to visit a smuggler and petty criminal, named James Taylor, who they make a deal with to get them into the rebel-controlled territory, where the three women had been sighted.
That night, they sneaked through a dense forest and into a small town where the women were purported to be staying. On the way through the forest, Detective Kent sprained his ankle. The smuggler left them with directions to a house where they were to stay. They all went to the house and made plans. They decided to separate and scout out the area, with the exception of Detective Kent, who was to stay behind and rest his ankle. They agreed to meet up next to an old church on the edge of the town in two hours time, to compare notes and work out their next step.
They all went their individual ways and eventually met up at the church. It was there that they were told bad news by Captain Barlow. James Taylor had double crossed them and told the rebels who they were and where they were. Detective Kent had been captured by the rebels and more were searching for the rest of them. He also tells them that the detective has been taken away to a nearby house, where he was under armed guard and was to be questioned. Inspector Watt then gave his news, he had located the women they were searching for and they were on the other side of the town. The group decided that they had to rescue the detective, but the inspector refused to not try and arrest the criminals as well. They managed to reach a decision to split up and try to do both. The Inspector and Private Blackwell go to try and arrest the criminals, while the rest of them go to rescue the detective. They also agree to meet up at the old church again, and if either group fails to turn up after a certain amount of time, the other group is to try and escape without them.
The soldiers go to the house where the detective is being kept and quietly eliminate two guards outside the front door. They sneak in and shoot the guards inside, grab the detective and run out again. They dashed down the street, firing at pursuing soldiers as they go, and eventually losing the pursuit and doubling back to the church.
Meanwhile, the inspector and the private are sneaking up on the criminals. Upon arrival at the house, the inspector looks through the window and sees them all in the living room, by themselves. The two men run into the house with guns out and the women surrendered, although when the inspector tries to handcuff Daisy, she fights back, but a prod in the side from a sub-machine gun broke her resistance. The women are then lead from the house at gunpoint and they walk over to the church, dodging enemy patrols.
The group with the prisoners were slow to arrive at the rendezvous and the other group were just preparing to break their agreement and send a couple of people to look for them, but they arrived back in time to stop them. They decide to attempt to escape through the forest again, and head off in that direction. Just before they reached the forest, heavy artillery fire started landing around them, forcing them to take cover. As soon as it stopped, they were up again, but a distant roar and the sound of many guns opening fire made them move carefully. They were caught in the middle of an attack on the town.
They slowly worked their way towards the edge of the forest, without seeing anyone else, but that changed when a group of soldiers stepped out from behind a group of trees, pointing guns at them all. It was too dark to tell what they were wearing and nobody could tell who each group was. The people holding the guns told the captives to walk forward slowly to the edge of the forest, where the people holding the guns are revealed to be members of the SJS Republic Army in the dim moonlight. Introductions are made and the soldiers help them get back to safety. From there arrangements are made for the transportation of the prisoners and for the detective to see a doctor.
The final scene is set three months later, with them back at the office talking. It then pans over to a television screen in the corner of the room, with a news story about a prison break.

Her mother was never sober, and her father was a constant cheater. She lived in a miserable district, the red zones. She was exposed to drugs, alcohol, prostitution and satanic worship, but she was not affected by any of it.
One day, when she was sleeping in the night, she had a vision from an angel that claims to be Serenity. Serenity told Carolyn that there is darkness that looms over Hammerstar, and that god gave her access to heaven only if she were to solve three riddles that will allow her to know the answers about god.
Carolyn woke up, took her bag, supplies and ran away from home.
Over the course of her journey she will meet different kinds of people, and make friends along the way. Carolyn would encounter many dangers, one of which is getting entangled in a large drug ring led by Peter Van Owen. While her mother, now sober, chases after Carolyn. This movie shows the audience about the darkness and the light of life, and would simply direct the audience to figure out the meaning of life.
