I wouldn't call SJ government-endorsed, but rather government-owned. Speaking of which, its issues are mostly me. I wish I had multiple writers, like you said. Tounge

Oh, then I have to thank you for the SJ's existance. I love that Southern Journal, its the best.

Local Issue I: Hyperinflation crisis: Thousands protest crippling economic situation, many left without booze
By Ryccia

The Pancake Corps and protesters clash in front of the Fudgetopia Hall of Government

Fudgetopia Hall of Government, The South Pacific- Many protesters took out to the streets to protest the devastating economic situation the South Pacific currently lives in. They claim that, with the hyperinflation, they cannot buy the essentials for TSP survival: Lampshades, Cake, Booze and, of course, LB&G Food.

Hyperinflation has always been a problem in the South Pacific. Now, an alcoholic drink costs 15 billion Drama Llamas, and that value is just getting higher.

Protesters are also angry about recent government cuts, saying that Feirmont wants to keep all the cake and booze for himself. There are even rumors that the syrup-smelling(not an insult) Delegate possesses a Platinum Card, something that often is not seen in the South Pacific. The only credit card superior to the Platimun Card is the Lampshade Card, which no one currently owns.

Is corruption rampant in the South Pacific? No one really knows. What we do know is that the people are angry. Very angry.

Special Court Elections...again
By Ryccia

Citizens voting at the polls

The South Pacific- Special Elections have yet again opened for Court Justice.

The cause of this election was former Chief Justice ProfessorHenn resigning, stating an internet addiction. This has also left the High Court without a Justice, and there has been no word from the Justices about this topic.

This is the second time that a special election opens for Court Justice in the August-December 2015 High Court Term. Kris Kringle, a forum administrator, will preside over the elections as Election Commissioner.

The candidates currently at the polls are:
  • Sandaoguo(or commonly known as Glen-Rhodes). Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chair of the Assembly. Currently, he is an administrator of the forums.
  • Sean Nadasky. He is a citizen. We have not heard much about him.

At the publication of this article, Sandaoguo has the most votes, with Sean Nadasky and Re-open Nominations behind him but close.
