RE: Map of the South Pacific - Griffindor - 02-08-2017

Is there anyway we could get an update on plots available for colonies? Could we also look at revising the colonization rules since most plots are still unused even after nearly 3 years?

Also, is the the Official map of the TSP or more of the official role play map? And how does this map tie into role play?

RE: Map of the South Pacific - FreeFishers - 02-09-2017

Better if you're making your claims with a web link to your nation
e.g.
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=freefishers
https://www.nationstates.net/nation=ausstan

Or if you use the insert link then you get My nation

And a little off topic, here's my celebrity crush! (Not porn, just instagram)

How to Make a Claim

Who can claim a spot?
Claiming a spot on the map is open to all nations of the South Pacific. The minimum requirement is that you have a nation in the region.

When your nation ceases to exist or moves to another region, you will be removed from the map so as to free space for others. So please stay!

Are puppets allowed?
"Puppets" are other accounts/nations controlled by the same person. Unfortunately we only have limited spots available, so we are limiting puppet accounts. Let us exercise common courtesy and refrain from hoarding spots.

My main nation is in another region, but I also want to play in TSP, can I claim a spot too?
If your main nation resides in another region and you want to join us here in the South Pacific, you may have a a spot in the regional map. Again, the minimum requirement must be fulfilled: you must have a nation in the South Pacific.

Are colonies allowed?
Colonies, for the purposes of this map, is a claim to a second or third plot. Having colonies (meaning, having other spots on the map) will be reserved only for legislators of the South Pacific. However, the "one TSP nation - one plot" still applies: you must have another nation in TSP to represent that colony. Within a map update, colonial claims will be processed after primary claims have been added. Like mentioned beforehand, let us exercise common courtesy and refrain from hoarding spots.  For more information see this post.

How to claim your spot on the map:
Copy the code and fill it out, and then post it as a reply to this thread. Fields with an asterisk (*) are required fields.
Code:
[b]Nation in the South Pacific[/b]*:
[b]Nation name[/b]*: (The name of your country that you want to appear in the map, which may be different from your TSP nation name. Please keep it short.)
[b]Desired Plot[/b]*: (This is on a first-come-first-served basis.)
[b]Capital[/b]*:
[b]Location of Capital[/b]*:
[b]Customization[/b]:
Your NationStates nation name may be different from your role-play or map name.

Under the Customization, you can put other cities that you want to be put on the map, along with corresponding locations. You may also name the geographical features (lakes, bays, mountains, mountain ranges, rivers) located entirely within your plot claim. We will try our best to accommodate your customization requests.

Disclaimer: I reserve the right to reject overly complex requests that might compromise the aesthetics of the map, or, honestly, just be simply absurd.

You may also refer to this sample claim for the sample nation included in the map. You may copy the format so you will get similar results. Or you can put in a sketch/drawing of the features you want to be included in a map.

And please, remember to read the directory and every post after the last update before making a claim to ensure that the plot you want has not yet been taken.

Hello!  I would like to stake a claim in our region.
[code]Nation in the South Pacific*:  The Imperium of Pax Dracon (Pax Dracon, for short)
Nation name*: (The name of your country that you want to appear in the map, which may be different from your TSP nation name. Please keep it short.)  Pax Dracon
Desired Plot*: (This is on a first-come-first-served basis.)  047
Capital*:  Elysium
Location of Capital*: At the mouth of the largest river (flowing northward) as it flows into the bay.
Customization:  More fertile plains around the rivers for farming, and the mountains heavily forested for the settlements there so they rely on lumber and hunting for their local economies, regardless of advanced industry.
Please add the following.
Cities:
Cadia: At the base of the southernmost mountains
Albius: North Central coastline by the bay
Aurelia: Northern Coast, a short distance south from Albius
Lyria: The plains between the rivers in the center
Desaris: Eastern mountains
Justinius: At the tributary in the southwester corner
Pacem: Northern border, at the rivers midpoint
Kurian: Mountain valley near the bottom of the map
Features:
Largest river known as the Draconis, highest peak within its borders known as Mt. Hyperion, and the bay called Imperium Bay
Secondary plots are still being considered, though 048 or 044 are my first choices of territorial expansion, provided it is still available upon citizenship
