Notification Messages: The Wrong Recipient Strikes Back - rhinotaz - 11-21-2015

Short version is: the forum notification system seems to have a very nasty habit of sending me notification messages which apparently belong to other people - some of which to threads I haven't even subscribed to. So far, it seems rather sporadic and only happens once every few days, but it does seem to have the distinct tendency to send me messages headed for Bon. Not sure why.

This has been happening to me ever since I first registered. Is this common?

Never happened to me, so I don't know if it's just you or not.

Actually, I just discovered it has happened to me, except I actually subscribed to the thread this time.

Sorry, I had to use an attachment.

Is this happening for threads you guys subscribed to before the move from x10, or after?

RE: Notification Messages: The Wrong Recipient Strikes Back - rhinotaz - 02-11-2016

I have only seen it happen to threads I've subscribed to before the move, but I can't really conclude anything given I haven't subbed to many threads after the move.

If that's the case, it's most likely related to the same bug causing incorrect "edited by" entries. I can maybe find a solution by editing the database to unsubscribe everybody from their posts. I'm not sure there's a less invasion option.

Meh. This not really a problem at all, so I guess just leave it be. Just pointed it out for the sake of it. Thanks for the response. ^_^

Sorry, but I wasn't on the x10 forums. And I guess its fine; it hasn't notified me about threads I haven't subscribed to (at least not yet).
