Jakarta Attacks - Ryccia - 01-14-2016

So, ISIS just attacked Jakarta. Being Indonesia's capital, it hosts the embassies and UN office of the nation, and the attacks took place near them, plus near to a Starbucks.

Thoughts on how ISIS has managed to attack another capital?

Perhaps Indonesia shouldn't have released the Bali bombers.

Perhaps this should get more attention. The eurocentrism is strong, since the Paris attacks in November occurred near exactly the same time as a more bigger and more deadly attack in Lebanon by the same group. Did it get news attention, or a FB flag? No, it didn't.

1. Most likely an ISIS "Affiliate"(AKA not ISIS just Newsmedia trying to create fear)

2. Similar attacks have been going on in Indonesia for at least the last decade.

3. Not to sound inhuman, but, this is honestly nothing new for Indonesia. Yes, the attacks are bad, but, The Indonesian Gov't will say that they'll do something. They "Officially" will but unofficially will do nothing. It's not the first time and most certainly isn't the last.

This sounds an awful lot like the American attitude towards gun control...

That is my position on Gun Control. Just like with this, you'll have to remove the corrupt politicians before anything can get done.

No, it happened less than two months ago.

It's just that people make and comment on this thread, without noting the fact that they have an Indonesian here???
