[RELEASED] Long Term Planning/Vision - Omega - 11-24-2016

So the party has hit a lull of activity right now. So I think now is a good time to think about what our goals are for the Cabinet Election in June of 2017 (yeah long term). So where do y'all want us to be by that point?

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Punchwood - 11-24-2016

Cabinet elections are in February you know and Delegate Elections in January.

I believe the party has to full unite and has to start acting as if the party could win a majority in the Cabinet and govern rather than just a group of likeminded voters who back each other in elections. I think the party should start to create election manifesto’s highlight what we would do if elected to government and in each Ministry, or elected office to combine with the intentions of the member running for office.

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Griffindor - 11-24-2016

Omega and I were actually kind of talking about that! xD

zak for MoRA? Omega for PM? Punch for MoFA? Griff for court? Ryccia for CoA (have him join APC first  )? Spenty for LC?

-Discord last night 10:33 PM

Any other members that would want a position to fill?

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Griffindor - 11-24-2016

I do agree with you Punch, we all need to collaborate and make a campaign thread for each position. Then when we decide to run for a position, we have a great base, then the individual candidate adjust it a bit for his personal election.

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Punchwood - 11-24-2016

I think we should see who could win each race. As in wait till nearer the time and see what the opinion polls say and who the region would like to see in each position. However if we were to say now what will want to run for (if any) then that person could start to make process in Ministry or start to take a more active roll in the region to help boast their chances come election time.

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Griffindor - 11-24-2016

Exactly, So like right now, Omega wants to go for PM in due time, but maybe finish a second term as CoA.

I want to be on the court, which is why I am pushing court reform so hard.

Punch you want to do MoFA?

Anyone else??

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Punchwood - 11-24-2016

Yes I do want MoFA but I think it's fairly unlikely at the moment of me being elected to the post. I think it's more likely that I could win RA if Seraph does not run for a second term.

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Griffindor - 11-24-2016

We are still a few months out from the next election, even then I wouldn't exactly see the APC majority in government being feasible until the June election. We need a few more prominent members, and a few more people to join so we have more sway.

In terms of recruitment to what I just said, I expect 4 new people to be most likely joining us by the end of the year. One is a current LC, and one is the MoFA.

RE: Long Term Planning/Vision - Spenty - 11-28-2016

We do need a strong foundation to gain a majority in the government, but we still have half a year, so we would see what happens.

As with the LC post, I'll be happy to serve in the council, but if Nahuelm joins the party he could also run (there are three posts so why not?), but I don't to race with time, let's just wait and see what unfolds for us.

If you could pick another spot in the cabinet what would you run for?
