Resignination - Omega - 02-01-2017
Good evening,
Friends, comrades, fellow legislators, I come humbly before you to announce my resignation, effective at 22:00 CST, on the 1st of February, 2017, after wich I will be a legislator.
The concerns raised by those who wish to recall me are all valid. I am not the Chair this Assembly deserves. I do not believe I can provide any valid reason for my inefficiency other than my own life and I believe this Assembly will greatly benefit from a Chair who is not a member of a high school band and debate team (go t-wolfs!). This Assembly deserves a Chair better than myself and I do not wish to drag this Assembly through a recall that ultimately will prove that very point. And to whoever gets the opportunity to sit as Chair for the next 4 months, best of luck; I can't wait to see what you do. And to those of you who believed in me, you will never know how much it meant to me.

This was very humbly and graciously done and I want to thank you for that. I also want to add that there was nothing personal in our recall and that I believe your intentions have been honorable throughout. You have a lot of potential in this region, much of which you have already fulfilled with SPN, you former leadership of APC and other projects. I just don't think Chair is the right fit for you at this time.

I think this was simply a case of not having the right amount of time to do the job really well. The recall was borne out of frustration with the slow movement of votes and forgetfulness when it came to updating laws. Those things happen when you can't dedicate enough time.
It happens and you shouldn't feel like a horrible failure. People have resigned from positions for it a lot in TSP, and there's no shame in leaving the job when you can't give it the time it needs. You can run again when you're less busy, maybe in the summer!
