Survey: Speed limits on highways - GI-Land - 09-12-2017

The Society for Political and Geographical Studies wants to know today, which countries have a speed limit for their highways and how high this limit is set.

Question: Do you have a speed limit on your highways and how high is this limit set? (mph limits get rounded)

Options:
  • No speed limit
  • No speed limit, but an advisory speed limit is given
  • speed limit >130 km/h (>80 mph)
  • speed limit at 130 km/h (80 mph)
  • speed limit at 120 km/h (75 mph)
  • speed limit at 110 km/h (68/70 mph)
  • speed limit at 100 km/h (60/62 mph)
  • speed limit <100 km/h (<60/62 mph)
  • There are no highways
Example answer: In GI-Land there is no general speed limit, but an advisory speed limit of 130 km/h is existing.

RE: Survey: Speed limits on highways - Ryccia - 09-12-2017

Ryccia has a national highway speed of 65 mph, however this can be changed by the respective divisions (for example, Division One might adopt the national one, Division Two might increase it to 70 mph, Division Three decreases it to 60 mph, and Division Four has no speed limit).

RE: Survey: Speed limits on highways - Zak6858 - 09-13-2017

Most highways have a speed limit of 100km/h, however, some intercity highways (must be at least a dual carriageway) will have a maximum of 110km/h.
*Note: Unlike many other countries, within Zadiner, if overtaking on a one lane each way highway, drivers are allowed to exceed the speed limit by 20km/h.

RE: Survey: Speed limits on highways - Pronoun - 09-15-2017

In Esfalsa the speed limit is officially 125 km/h, but in practice most drive as if the limit was 130km/h.

RE: Survey: Speed limits on highways - Awe - 09-15-2017

In Awesomiasa, the highway speed limit is 110 km/h across all states. However, emergency vehicles (including civilian and official vehicles being escorted by police) are allowed to go up to 150km/h in emergency situations, if traffic conditions permit.

RE: Survey: Speed limits on highways - Qwert - 09-17-2017

The maximum speed is 120 km/h, but may be lower on certain highways or stretches.

RE: Survey: Speed limits on highways - Volaworand - 12-13-2017

No Highways:

Most travel is by Ferry, Snowmobile, and bush planes, or the weekly passenger/cargo routes of the State run Southern Transportation Corporation.  Speeds are not regulated
Volaworand's mining companies maintain some seasonal ice road networks in the interior, again without speed regulations beyond workplace safety reguirements that state speeds must be "safe"...  heavy mining equipment doesn't really pose a speed danger most days, anyway.

RE: Survey: Speed limits on highways - Folkmann - 06-27-2019

Fauderland: On the national highways the speed limit changes depending on the location and the lane. During some stretches of highway there is no limit although the highest posted limit is 140km/h.

Sorbkraia: Maximum speed limit is 140km/h.

FiHami has 2 highways- Pa'Fonitex and Pa'Hani. Neither highways have speed limits. FiHami car use is limited in the first place as most FiHamians bike to their destinations rather than drive.
