2019 in film - Jay Coop - 01-13-2019

This is gonna be a big year for films and must-watches and I haven't been this excited before. I've been loving the MCU superhero films of late and three of them are coming out this year (Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far from Home). Sophie Turner, who is best known for her performance as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones (which will also come to an epic conclusion this year), will be Jean Grey in Dark Phoenix. Of course, Star Wars will always be a must watch as this too will come to a conclusion. Joker is the wild card here and I get to relive my childhood with Toy Story 4.

Selections from Fandango and IMDb's Most Anticipated Films of 2019 (ordered by personal preference)
  1. Captain Marvel (already have tickets)
  2. Avengers: Endgame
  3. Star Wars: Episode IX
  4. Dark Phoenix
  5. Spider-Man: Far from Home
  6. Joker
  7. Toy Story 4
Anyone else excited for any films this year?

I'm very excited about the MCU lineup for this year, as well as about Dark Phoenix. I'm also really looking forward to It: Chapter II.

I'm not really excited about Episode IX, I'm afraid. I don't know if I'll even watch it.

I'm not caught up enough on x-men to even have been aware of what dark phoenix was before I read this, but other than that I agree I'm very excited about the other movies that will be coming out this year. Perhaps minus the star wars one because honestly I kinda am getting tired of all the star wars movies they're making. I mean, I'll watch it for sure, and probably enjoy it, but I don't think it'll be a very big thing for me, just something I'll pick up from redbox or something.

Frozen 2 is also coming out 2019 but honestly the first frozen was way too popular for its own good and I think that's erased a lot of the chance for the sequel to be somewhat decent (sequels usually suck anyway so it probably will be kinda bland)

You've missed the most important movie planned for 2019.

Ah, going to the cinema. I remember what that was like...

I've seen Captain Marvel, and it was amazing. I highly recommend it for fans of Marvel, and even non-Marvel fans as you may get some insight on the first few movies (it's actually a prequel).

I'm also very excited for the other Marvel movies, namely Endgame and the new Spider-Man; however, I'm not that interested in X-Men. I'm also pretty excited with Episode IX, and I hope it's not bad as the critics say about VII and VIII. The rest, not so much, even Toy Story 4 Sad

I’m intrigued about New Mutants.

Okay, I watched Captain Marvel twice in the last two weeks and it was great. Loved it.

I saw Avengers: Endgame. If you haven't seen it yet, you have to see it.
