Recall of Chair of Assembly Omega |
Honestly, in agreement with Tsu - I'm kind of confused here more than anything. Perhaps this is a problem resolved by Omega taking on a deputy or two as was done previously?

And now... Other than bringing this to the Assembly's attention, its all moot point. He has resigned, and an election can be held. My question is, can we slide Chair into the current election cycle, or do we have to wait for this to be over...?

The Election Commissioner has said elections will be held at the same time as the cabinet elections.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

This is ridiculous. I feel everyone in this forum has just stuck their heads in the sand for a while, there's madness and hypocrisy in most sssembly threads now.

This is partially true, The APC block vote was one of the key deciders in the vote, but over half of the votes were cast before a majority of the APC had actually voted, and they were already generally for Omega. I'm going off public votes since that's all I can see. We had a party vote and discussion about voting for him... We also stressed, that you didn't have to vote for him just because the party endorsed him. We have a policy of naturally supporting/endorsing candidates who run from our party, we still vote on it though. -Griffindor/Ebonhand

Incumbency advantages are real. Omega won because he was the incumbent, really. These issues weren't really studied before the election. But several TSPers have in the past couple days gone to look for laws and noticed they weren't ever updated. So that tipped them off and they looked to compare the speed with previous Chairs.
