The forums are more secure and under the region's control, thereby making them more reactive to the community. We're limited by a slew of factors on the RMB, notably the affordances NS proper grants us as an Game Created Region.

That does't make on superior, per se, but one mode of communication better suited to our needs.

Someone else said this, but TSP has been at the forefront of granting more authority and representation to the RMB. The current delegate-election system and the introduction of the Local Council were both done in response to the new affordances provided by NationStates. I imagine when other large scale updates, we might revisit to see how we can adjust again.
