Kris during the discussions over the parole board i asked specifically if the hearing would be open to the public. This is what you responded:

That would be an interesting points of discussion, but I don't think we need to legislate on it. I assume the hearing itself would be public, with the Parole Board having its own space for private deliberations, just like the High Court.
My question is why did the parole board decide not to hold the hearing in public?
