OPINION: A Dangerous Proposal
#31

Trying to use real-life historical events to judge what will happen in TSP is a bit useless, even if it could be a mildly useful metaphor.

Either way, Raven, opening up the legislative process to people who do not go through security checks, who cannot be readily tracked for security concerns, who are not even legally bound by the Charter, and can come and go from the region as they please, does make us massively more vulnerable. We can't ignore that.

We are "safe" now only in this sense that it's unlikely for an external invasion to happen and unseat Tsu. There are very few ways we would be "safe" from quite literal infiltration on the game-side, without adopting increasingly stringent requirements that defeat the purpose of a game-side legislature. Even under WA-Native requirements, which are the most stringent Tsu has proposed, it's not difficult to have a puppet that meets the Native requirement. All you'd have to do is switch WAs to be able to vote. If I was an enemy, or even just somebody wanting to influence our policy in a way that can't really be noticed, I would definitely do that.
