A motion and a second have been received for the following amendment to the Law Standards Act.

This is a vote on an amendment to a general law. As such, it requires a simple majority (50%+1) to pass.

The timing allotted for this vote is three days. Voting will end on May 23 at 1:10 p.m EDT.

Amendment to Article 5 of the Law Standards Act Wrote:5. Reformatting of Laws and Legislation

(1) For the purpose of this Act, the Chair of the Assembly will bring all previously written laws into compliance with the standards outlined by this Act.

(2) The Chair of the Assembly may bring proposed legislation into compliance with the standards outlined by this Act before bringing it to vote.
