My Values
These are the 3 As that I look for in all public officials, including myself, and the government of the South Pacific as a whole. In a region where democracy flourishes so well like the South Pacific, we need to do better and we can do better. The 3 As: Able, Accountable and Accessible provide a framework for all officials to help uphold and strengthen our free, transparent and democratic system of government.
Able: The region demands people who may not be the best in the field, but have the necessary qualities, ability, and compassion to run our offices of government. Those elected to steer the ship should be the people who have adequate knowledge and experience in dealing with problems relating to the office that they are holding.
Accountable: As a public servant, I serve in the interest of the people and the region, not any particular individual or group. Everyone, from the top to the very bottom of this community, deserves to be represented in a fair and impartial manner. Government officials have to follow the highest standards of behaviour and are expected to be exemplary members of our community, thus, if they are engaged in any unlawful activities that damage the government's reputation, they should step down.
Accessible: Officials ought to open themselves to and hear opinions and critiques from the people they serve, as it is a part of their job, securing South Pacificans a role in the region's decision making process. It is also the main reason why I have made this thread, so that people can look into my profile and see exactly who I am, what I stand for and what I am doing. I sincerely believe we can achieve full government transparency when officials develop connections with the people whom they are accountable to, and one way of doing that is to start being open.

Bzerneleg placed special emphasis in his agenda on young members of the region, not for any political purpose, but for the betterment of the South Pacific. Young people play an integral part in this community as they bring fresh changes and enthusiasm. However, that alone is not enough. Many who are new to this region are having a hard time settling in, and little pro

I fight hard with every chance I get to ensure that this region continues to live up to its ideals of liberty and opportunity. I strongly believe that the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Charter and through Acts of Assembly need not and shall not be compromised at all costs. They are the very essence of our democracy, and therefore we shall ensure that everyone is able to exercise those rights and freedoms.
These principles help guide me in working with my colleagues in the Assembly and other branches of government to preserve a free society where everyone is treated equally. In November 2018, I worked with other Legislators to defend your right to dignity while protecting free speech for every other South Pacificans by passing an amendment to the Criminal Code criminalizing defamation.

As one of the oldest and largest regions in NationStates and the pioneer of democracy, the South Pacific faces daily threats to its sovereignty at home and to its allies abroad. That is why it is important that this region maintains a sufficient army capable of defending itself and a powerful diplomatic team capable of promoting our interests overseas. However, recent events raised concerns about the limited amount of soldiers in the SPSF and embassy vacancies left unfilled, leaving our security at stake and undermining our influence around the globe.
I have been working to help increase the military's personnel by advertising the South Pacific Special Forces and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Ambassador Corps Program to new members. By doing so, I hope for a stronger military which leads to a safer, more prosperous South Pacific. Our people in uniform stand ready each and every day to protect our region, and it is our duty to lend a hand in helping them doing so.
