MINISTER’S SPECIAL REPORT ON MORE RECENT OCCUPATION DEFENSES

From the Office of the Minister of Defense, 12/27/2021

Fellow South Pacificans,

At major update on December 27th, invaders hailing from Lone Wolves United, a notorious invader organization condemned by the World Assembly, decided to come out of their caves and try to occupy something after being swatted out of their last attempt roughly two weeks ago. They were joined by their fellow invaders from The Black Hawks, another infamous invader organization which has a proven history of violating the regional sovereignty of The South Pacific for their own gains. Together, they looked to return back to the spotlight after being unceremoniously (yet deservingly) shoved out of it checks calendar one week ago. Seems like someone’s needy for attention.

It is at this point, my dear readers, that I remind you of the dangers of leaks. Leaks are one of the greatest menaces modern society has ever encountered. They have the potential to flood your living space with unwanted liquid if not properly taken care of, or in this case, a budding occupation attempt with swarms of defenders. Held by poor materials and shoddy plumbing, the LWU-TBH pipeline had a leak and boy did things burst through it. We could see water trickling down the hallway even before update started and decided to bring some extra protection in response. We gathered over forty defenders at a moment’s notice to “gently” let the aspiring crashers know that they might need to fix their plumbing. And when I say “gently”, I mean “banjected from their target regions with extreme prejudice by the online ROs there”. They attempted three jumps in total, with the first and the last jump ending with them being met with the aforementioned fate. Their second jump was an ill-chosen decoy, specifically Stargate, a region that has long been under the protective wing of our valued ally The North Pacific. Defending against an ostensible invasion of that region unfortunately led to an unintended Delegacy change. The Tidal Force has been deployed to ensure that the legitimate Delegate is restored at the next minor update.

And I’m not done yet. Eight of the valiant plumb-err, warriors that rose to the call were members of the SPSF, the second highest among the militaries present in the battlefield at that time and an impressive feat  that only serves to underline just how amazing this year has been for us. I think we all know what I’ll say here, so I’ll instead say this; from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your efforts. I’ve said this before, but we couldn’t have reached such an extraordinary level of success without each and every one of yours’ contribution, no matter how trivial it may seem. It’s honestly hard to not take a look at our current roster and be proud of the amount of talent packed in there and I hope that we continue being this awesome for a long time from now.

And finally, I wish all of you a belated Merry Christmas, and hope that you have a fun time celebrating the upcoming holidays.

Lux Veritas Virtus.

Faithfully Yours,
Moon,
