Fellow South Pacificans, 

It is a tremendous privilege today to announce the promotion of two of the SPSF's finest. 

Since joining the SPSF in January after participating in several liberations as part of a civilian militia, Pronoun has served in the SPSF with integrity and enthusiasm, becoming one of our most consistent major updaters with a thirst for knowledge and improvement. Consistently, Pronoun would ask me or other officers questions and seek to improve his craft in chasing and spotting raiders across the high seas of NationStates, including developing his own improvements to existing defender tools and sharing his knowledge with other members of the SPSF.

Pronoun's commitment and potential are immeasurable, and it was a pleasure working with him throughout conducting his officer training. Now that the triggers have been set, refined, and the Is dotted and Ts crossed, I hereby announce the promotion of Pronoun from Soldier to Officer of the South Pacific Special Forces with unanimous consent of the General Corps pursuant to its power under Article 1(2) of the Military Code. As a dedicated and long-standing member of the South Pacific's community even prior to gameplay involvement, I am confident in Pronoun's longevity and future contributions to the SPSF.

I am also pleased to announce the promotion of Moon. Moon has served dutifully in the SPSF since March 2021, for much of that time as an Officer. In this time, Moon has become one of the most active SPSF updaters on record, served a term as Minister of Defense, and assisted in organizing countless liberations with exemplary turnouts by the SPSF. Moon's skill and enthusiasm for leadership of the SPSF is clear both on and off the battlefield, and he has more than demonstrated he is prepared to take on new responsibilities in the SPSF. I hereby announce the promotion of Moon from Officer to Commander of the South Pacific Special Forces with unanimous consent of the General Corps pursuant to its power under Article 1(2) of the Military Code. I am confident Moon will be an asset for the SPSF for quite some time to come in his new role.

And, yes, these promotions are real. It's just an unhappy coincidence that it's April 1st.
