Pan-Cordilian Broadcast Union

< logo wip >

The Pan-Cordilian Broadcast Union is a project founded in 1983 consisting of a few television channels and radio stations to promote tourism and to spread every nation's culture throughout the nations of Cordilia. Each channel has a unique purpose and style. All programming is dubbed from their source language into the language of member nations, and closed captioning is provided for all programming except live programs into many more languages. However, much programming is already translated into the target language upon broadcast and all advertisements and bumpers have been translated into the language of the nation it is broadcasted in.

Programming runs for 16 hours every day. Start times are staggered based on the timezone, starting at 6 AM local time every morning. Start times are shown in UTC on the channels while not running programming.

CHANNELS

All channel numbers must be used for the channel specified by all cable providers in all member nations.

CORDILIASAT 1 | 56 (1056 HD if applicable)

Cordilia Satellite 1 broadcasts news from across the world and generally touristy programming that can be commissioned by member nations to inform viewers about their nation, maybe it being the food or the views or something else. Time slots not taken up by news programming or tourist programming are filled with history programming or short documentaries that can fill a 30 minute to an hour slot. The last 4 hours of programming broadcasts hour long programs.

CORDILIASAT 2 | 57 (1057 HD if applicable)

Cordilia Satellite 2 broadcasts domestic programs that would usually only air in one member nation to the entire broadcast union. All programs being broadcasted on CORDILIASAT2 are reviewed by a third-party content reviewing organization to make sure they comply with every nation's rating guidelines for what is acceptable on television.

RADIO STATIONS

Radio stations are optional for all member nations. If a member state chooses to have PCBU radio stations, they must clear the specified bandwidth for the stations they want in the area they want.

CordiliaFM 103.5 | Call sign: PCBU-FM

This station broadcasts music from around the member states of the PCBU. The city where the station resides in can also choose to put a morning talk show between the hours of 7 AM to 10 AM.

CordiliaAM 650 | Call sign: PCBU-AM

Broadcasts news 24/7.
