Osiris | The North Pacific | Balder | The South Pacific [Image: KmX10iV.png?2] Dear Citizens of the South Pacific, I have considered the events of the last week and thought about the type of community I wish to be part of, when coupled with my responsibilities and duties to other regions. I have been a citizen of the South Pacific since the events of Milograd's revolution in 2013. I came as part of the then, Kemetic Republic of Osiris' Medjai Guard, as well as their then Minister of Foreign Affairs to communicate personally between Osiris and the South Pacific to ensure Osiris could do what it could to assist the South Pacific in any way possible. I valued my citizenships of the then, two feeders I was part of (The North, and the South), and the sole sinker (Osiris) I was active in. The gradually, I moved into Balder, and the East Pacific (which I withdrew from after encountering severe anti-Ravenclaw sentiment), but one region has always remained the centre of my attention, and that is Osiris. On the fifth of April 2014, I will have been part of that region for two years, the region is only two and a half years old and I have served as the longest serving Minister of Foreign Affairs in the regions albeit short history, she is, and will always remain the focus of my attention and devotion, and part of me feels that it is unfair to be involved in other regions when my true loyalties, however much I compartmentalise them, belong to Osiris. Over my time in the South Pacific I have done what I could to avoid situations, votes or debates where I have a conflict of interest. Unlike some noted other people in this region, I have never voted unless I could adequately judge the repercussions and consequences for the South Pacific, and have always taken time to ensure that I was putting my government roles in other regions before my values and integrity when ensuring that I am impartial and neutral in the South Pacific. I have never sought government office in this region, preferring to stay out of the regional theatre performance and watch from the Assembly whilst trying to make light of things when problems become too evident and severe within the region, my "Welcome to the Assembly" post was one such example. However, the last week has allowed me to see a side to the regional politics that has reminded me vividly of the civil war in Osiris over the middle and latter quarters of 2013. It was not a pleasant situation to sit through and offer what support I could to those involved, nor was it pleasant to sit through as a SOP in the irc channel, let alone that as a Head of State for another GCR. It is not a situation I wish to repeat in this region, and I am wary of such troubles reappearing - things like this are rarely settled with just one excursion into the public eye and I do not wish to be around when they reappear. I send my apologies to those running for Delegate, Vice Delegate and Minister of Foreign Affairs: I will not be able to test you with various foreign relations and affairs scenarios. Thus, I hereby resign my citizenship of the Coalition of the South Pacific and any rights, privileges included thereof as mandated by the Charter, Bill of Rights and over such documents as detailed by the previous two documents. I can't say I'm surprised 'cause, in my head, I've always thought of ya as an Osirian, but, in my heart, I've always felt ya were a friend.
I don't care whether or not I have the authority, but I refuse to accept this. You are a valuable member of this community and I don't take it lightly when someone like that leaves. I seriously urge you to reconsider, and you can be damn sure that I won't be the one to remask you.
