BREAKING NEWS
TSUNAMY ELECTED DELEGATE

Tsunamy answering campaign questions

Tsunamy will be the next Delegate of the South Pacific! He has been the dark horse in this election, since most a survey held before the election predicted that Vice Delegate Arbiter08 would be the frontrunner and most likely winner. Still, Tsunamy surprised all when he gathered twice the amount of votes of the Vice Delegate, leaving newcomer Hobbes at a distant third.

With PenguinPies as his running mate, Tsunamy campaigned on allowing all residents to have a formal voice in the Assembly, regardless of their citizenship status, by forming a bicameral legislature. He also proposed strengthening ties with User Created Regions, as part of a broader policy to stop worrying about military alignments and adopting a TSP-centric policy. This was well-accepted by citizens, more experienced ones, most of whom votes for him.

Our Delegate Elect was excited and ready to work, and told the Southern Journal that "to win with an outright majority is nothing short of humbling, and I hope we can live up to [the region's] expectations". He has since been receiving various congratulations, most prominently from outgoing Delegate Kris Montresor, who said he was "proud to see our democracy stronger than ever, and I have no doubt that the South Pacific has made the right choice. It will be a pleasure and an honour to give the seat to someone as dedicated and capable as Tsu".

Tsunamy will serve alongside Penguin as his Vice Delegate, Unibot again as Chair of the Assembly, Lord Ravenclaw as Minister of Foreign Affairs, CrimsonTideFan as Minister of the Army and Kris Montresor as Minister of Regional Affairs. Both Ravenclaw and Crimson are new to the Cabinet, though Ravenclaw is already a highly regarded diplomat, and Crimson has been endorsed by both Kringalia and QuietDad, the outgoing Delegate and Minister of the Army. The new Cabinet will take office next week, on December 1.

Us at the Southern Journal would like to congratulate the new Cabinet on their election and the People of the South Pacific for their excellent participation in this democratic exercise.
