Resident Spotlight: Estar
#1

Estar is a new citizen of TSP and we're sure he will have a great time and future in TSP. So we decided to sit down with him and ask him about how he feels in TSP and how he will do in our friendly but crazy region.

Feirmont: Hello Estar [Image: smile.gif]

Estar: Hi ! Thanks for having me [Image: smile.gif]

Feirmont: No problem, thank you for getting back to me so timely, if you would like to make yourself comfortable, I'm just brewing some more tea.

Estar: Of course, and don't mind if I do thank you very much, ready when you are.

Feirmont: Pours and hands over a cup of tea. Excellent! For starters, how did you find out about NationStates?

Estar: Hmm well it was quite sometime ago, some 4 years ago so I was either 12 or 13 at the time and was just starting to get involved with the world of politics. I think all I did was search for "run a country" like most of us I think.  [Image: tounge.png]

Feirmont: What aspect of NationStates kept you on for so long?

Estar: The NS forums, 100% responsible for me sticking around so long, but I have gone through a couple of nations, Estar is my 3rd I believe.

Feirmont: How did you come to The South Pacific? Or rather, what brought you here or did you start here?

Estar: Oh well when I was on my 2nd nation I made Estar as a puppet and just sorta kept it in it's first region, the South Pacific, the only one of my "playthroughs" to stay in it's feeder and as for the actual community well. I’m not sure, I felt like I had had enough of the NS forums and felt like it was time to give back to the regional community.

Feirmont: Well, we are glad to have you on board! You’ve also joined the Fellowship Programme and are involved in many projects. How do you find the forums so far?

Estar: Very well organized I gotta say, having been in a few regions, especially with my original nation, and remembering their boards, you can definitely see the work put into TSP forums also, the older members such as yourself and Kringle have been very helpful.

Feirmont: It could be surprising to mention a lot of the members in the Ministry right now are new; I only joined the forums a month and a half ago or so.

Estar: Oh really? Well that is surprising, if you'd told me that you guys have been around for at least a year I would have believed you.

Feirmont: *Nods*

Estar: Well then you all are running things pretty smoothly for being new, good job!

Feirmont: What brought you to the Ministry of Regional Affairs?

Estar: Hmm well originally I had been thinking of the International affairs, but seeing that it was cancelled, I was up for anything, so I signed up for everything, Assembly, Regional Affairs and the SPSF and the Regional Affairs cater a lot more to my real life interests, especially the TSP Radio Project, particularly the whole video aspect of it that we're working on.

Feirmont: (selfless promotion of the TSP Radio project Wink ) Would you ever join the ranks of the Cabinet as a Minister?

Estar: Hmm I have thought about it, but I think I have a lot to learn before running for a position in the Cabinet but once I feel confident in knowing how things go I would definitely run for Minister. [Image: smile.gif]

Feirmont: Which one would you shoot for?

Estar: Hmm well that's a big question hahaha. I think if I could choose I would go for either Minister of Regional Affairs or if I had a better understanding of how it all goes then maybe Delegate or Vice Delegate. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Feirmont: Speaking of elections; if there were an election today, who do you think would become delegate?

Estar: Hmm I'm not sure who would win, but I could see Ryccia nominating him/herself for a position, possibly Punchwood, yourself and the other newer members. I would be surprised if Kringle or Tsu or Belschaft ran for any position, I can imagine they are already really busy with the Region without having to have even more work.

Feirmont: Haha thank you for that insight. [Image: smile.gif] Now, a few more harder questions, and we can head over to the bar.

Ester: Hahaha I'm ready, shoot'em at me. [Image: smile.gif]

Feirmont: What do you do when you aren't around NationStates or TSP?

Estar: Well I'm hoping for a future job in the Movie industry, so I write lots of scripts, make a few videos every once in a while, and the occasional acting job, besides that my social life, school and video games take up quite a bit of time too :') The whole movie thing is why the whole reporter in the field thing for TSP Radio interests me (again shameless promotion of the Radio Project, sorry :') )

Feirmont: (Sorry not sorry [Image: wink.png] ) Do you have a favorite person in TSP? A least Favourite?

Estar: No really, everyone seems pretty great so far, all of you that are helping me out remind me of my "mentors" in my early days of NS, and more junior members like Ryccia or Henn remind me a lot of myself back then too ( just because of their writing style). Gotta say, there should be a commendation for the community, everyone has been real kind and helpful.

Feirmont: We may be crazy, but it's the good kind What's your favorite kind of lampshade?

Estar: As in the actual lamps? [Image: tounge.png]

Feirmont: You got it.

Estar: Well I saw one in a vintage store the other day that had old 40's Cap. America comics as the shade part, I think that's the coolest lampshade I've ever seen if I had known you'd ask I would have taken a picture. [Image: tounge.png]

Feirmont: We can put it up in the Radio room [Image: tounge.png] Last question, and the most important so far. It could determine your fate here in TSP Cake or Pie?

Estar: Oh my, are we talking about all pies and cakes or specific cakes and pies?

Feirmont: There can only be one.

Estar: Hmm tough call, but I'm gonna go with pie ! Pecan or Pumpkin pies are better than any cake I can think of. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Feirmont: Excellent, drinks are on me! Any questions for me before we go?

Estar: Hahaha excellent ! Yes I have a couple actually if you don't mind. [Image: biggrin.gif]

Feirmont: Shoot. [Image: smile.gif]

Estar: 3 questions. [Image: smile.gif]  What brought you to the South Pacific ?

Feirmont: I started out in the South Pacific 2 years ago; lurked until about a month and a half ago, and joined the forums then.

Estar: Hahahaha we have the same origin story :') What is your ultimate plan for TSP Radio? In other words, what is it you have would like to us do?

Feirmont: Short Term: Get a radio show aired once a month dealing with the different aspects of TSP, The RMB, IRC, RP, Government Workings. Long Term: Have a team ready for a bi-weekly show with music and longer aired hours. The long term may take well, a really long time; but I'm not going anywhere [Image: smile.gif]

Estar: Hmm well, I'll help out however I can. [Image: smile.gif] And final question before we hit the bar, and most important. Cake or Pie?
Feirmont: Pie, of course. [Image: smile.gif]

Estar: Hahaha brilliant, well thank you so much for your time Feirmont, it was great to be here. [Image: smile.gif]

Feirmont: No thank you Estar! I'm sure we will be hearing about you around the forums. [Image: smile.gif]

Yes I know there are two Resident Spotlight things, but when I edit one out it just reappears after I update the post. I only added one in but two have appeared just pretend one is not there.
