But we can set it for each poll.

Can you see who's voting for which option in this topic's poll?

We're using automatically differently.

It can be set for each poll. In fact, there might be a default option we could turn on -- I haven't a clue.

But, Bels asked if we could make the results shown "automatically" as in without clicking "show results." That isn't a option.

NOTE: So -- which much confusion, I was able to merge this discussion from the vote on QD with the discussion started by RT. Sorry -- it wasn't as seamless as I hoped, but it's done. Now I'll know better moving forward.

The way I see it, the Assembly is a legislature, and votes in legislatures are normally public. If you don't want people to know where you stand, then maybe you should abstain. So as long as polls are public, I'm fine with them being used. I can see what's possible with the templates for polls, to try and get the voters listed without having to go to a different page.

I suspect Todd used a poll because when he was Election Commissioner we used a poll. Personally, I like votes to be public.

I'm not launching into another debate about private voting. But, since GR brought it up, I feel the need to point out that nowhere was the idea of private voting advocated in this thread.

Frankly, if it comes down to an option of ease of polls versus having to click "show results," the polls are going to win in my book.
