I'm in a weird position as I am Chair and my Vice Chair is also a defendant. My suggestion would be to choose who is the nominee, to compile all the choices in an informal vote as a contradicting decision. Then a single approval vote for the winner of the contradicting law vote. That would follow usual procedure and allow us to choose a candidate (from what looks like quite a large list) preferentially with ease.

Some years ago we elected the Delegate through a challenge system, where people would challenge the incumbent Delegate for the position. Declarations of intention would be filed in a section of the forum called the Brave Little Toaster.
