Resident Spotlight: Lands of Headington
#1

***MoRA Resident Spotlight***

Interview Publication Date: 23 November 2013
Interviewee: Lands of Headington
Interviewer: Escade

Our interviewee today, Lands of Headington is always happy to welcome new nations to the region and hand them a lampshade. Loh is one of our Z-Day heroes, a consummate gentleman, and a well-known presence in the region.

1. How did you learn about Nation States? What enticed you to join?

It was an accident really. Back then, I was searching the definition of the term "Nation State" when I noticed the game. After a quick check, I created my first nation.

2. How long have you been in the South Pacific?

Since 2003...I feel so old now... Unfortunately, my first nation is dead and long lost, but I remained here in the shadows, mostly reading what people posted on the RMB. I created this nation shortly after my first CTE'd and only around 2 years ago decided to devote myself entirely to TSP. So much that I don't have citizenship in any other region. Honestly, I regret not doing this sooner.

3. What do you like most about being a resident of TSP?

You mean, despite being a symbol of freedom and democracy since (game) Antiquity? The people, of course. TSP wouldn't be TSP without them. Most people here are friendly and will welcome others with open arms. If you are a new player, you won't have any trouble in getting involved. Also, the beautiful girls *tips hat*

And thank you for being one of the first people to welcome new players on the forums, that's so sweet Smile *curtsies* Tounge

4. If you were delegate of TSP for a day what would you do?

Hmm...Probably invite the delegates of other GCRs to our region and have a 100% informal chat with them on the RMB. No discussions about NS politics or wars. Just a fun and friendly chat. TSPers could take part too, of course.

That sounds like a lovely plan (in fact I'd love to steal it).

5. What is one thing you've always wanted to do but haven’t done yet?

Make use of my political skills. I do wish to become much more active regarding regional (and international) politics. My laziness is to be blamed for not doing this yet. I've been a bit busy in RL but within a week or two I'm going to start pursuing a political career here.

Ok, first so awesome that you'd like to be involved! Please, please, please join! (Hint: the Ministry of Regional Affairs needs a leader who is capable and cool, just like you Smile

6. Cake or pie? Why?

Pie, obviously. I don't want to be shot by Penguin. By the way, have a cookie *hands over an extra large cookie to Escade*

*Munches on cookie. Tries to remember something about pie\cake wars. Wow, these cookies are huge and have so many chocolate chips....*

7. Favorite book, movie, or game?

I love "Machine Man" by Max Barry. It's a great read and I'm planning to read it again. Movie...I would say "The Expendables". The cast is simply amazing. My current favorite game is "Call of Duty: Ghosts".

8. What is the significance behind your nation's name?

Well, the name "Lands of Headington" came from a story I had to write during my early school days. It was about a boy and a girl who found a land populated by cats and to find their way home they had to cooperate with cats. I called that place Lands of Headington.

You write stories! That's awesome! I love stories and poems and creative work Smile Aww...and the story sounds sweet too.

9. Finally, what did you think of Z-day apocalypse? In a real zombie apocalypse, what would you do first?

Z-Day was great. It was really nice to see TSPers working together to fight back the zombies by healing infected nations and searching for a cure. That kind of cooperation, even if it happened during a special event where the main point was just having fun, is priceless. In a real zombie apocalypse...I would probably search for a shotgun first. There's no point saying that you're going to help others if you can't even fight for your own security. Having a loaded shotgun nearby is a good start.

It is always my honor to interview TSP residents and citizens and it was especially lovely to interview you Happywide
Thank you and great applause for Loh for such a thoughtful and graceful interview Smile I look forward to seeing Loh in the hallowed halls of TSP government!
