Resident Spotlight: The Solar System Scope
#1

***MoRA Resident Spotlight***

Interview Publication Date: 06 February 2014
Interviewer: Arbiter08
Interviewee: The Solar System Scope (TSSS)

Here today we have TSSS who would like to share a little about himself.

1. How did you learn about Nation States? What enticed you to join?

When I where searching for a game you make your own country with Google, the first search result said "NationStates". I clicked on it and I saw the "create a nation" button and I thought "why not, I have nothing to do anyway", so I created a nation. In the beginning I didn't realize what I should do. I didn't know there were a RMB because I never scrolled lower than the census! After some time, I realized what it's real cause was.

Ah, so you found it through google! Thats how a lot of people seem to find it.

2. How long have you been in the South Pacific? Why did you decide to stay?

I've been in TSP since the creation of my nation (see below in my sig) because it had a populous RMB (most of the regions have inactive nations) and a lot to do. I have another nation (Unified Telescopes in NS astronomical society) because I couldn't resist that region.

Same here! I've been in TSP since T.S.L was created!

3. What do you like most about being a resident of TSP?

The many things you can talk about.

It seems anything and everything eventually makes it on to our RMB.

4. If you were delegate for a day, what would you do?

Encourage people to study astronomy by showing them awesome links and amazing pictures. Then, I would add a minister column in the WEF (World Entry Factbook) and have a ballot/voting/poll/whatchamacallit of who would have these places. I would also encourage Irish and Greek as languages and classical music.

A minister column? Do you mean have a list of all people who were elected to lead a ministry? That isn't that bad of an idea.

5. Cake or Pie? Why?

If you mean π, I like it a lot because of its wide usage. Else, I have no problem with both of them. THEY ARE PASTRIES, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Warning! Pi Cultists shall be purged!
(Phi is better then pi Tounge)

6. What is your favorite book, movie, and/or game?

Favorite book is that I bought the last week for 25 SEK ($3,819151) called "ASTRONOMY" by Essential. I also like Sherlock Holmes. Movie I'm not sure, but series is "Sherlock" with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman and "Doctor Who" with David Tennant and not Matt Smith.

The Sherlock Holmes books were pretty good. I'm assuming your talking about the originals, right?

7. Do you think Pluto should be a dwarf planet? Why or why not?

Pluto should be a dwarf planet because:
It is not like the other planets, terrestrial and gas giants, it has a weird orbit and come closer to the Sun than Neptune for a period, and that don't happen with the other planets.
The dwarf planets Ceres, Haumea, Makemake and Eris are more similar to Pluto than the planets.

Well, thats all the questions we have today. Thank you for the answers TSSS!
