Jill Stein is calling for a re-count in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania after Clinton came under pressure to do so. I don't know how to best describe the details but just look up "Clinton recount" and you will see professors and cyber experts urging Clinton to call for a recount. Stein needs $2.5 million to have a re-count in them all and $1.1 by 4PM central tomorrow for a recount in Wisconsin, the deadlines in the other states close on the Monday and 30th. Plus there will be legal bills, etc. I would have thought that many big Democratic would donate to it. In just three hours it has raised almost $0.5 million.

It comes after 6 electors have said they will not vote for Trump. Some Dem electors are trying to stop Trump from reaching the 270 votes needed to cause a backlash against the Electoral Collage. It comes after Clinton's popular vote lead has reached 2 million.

I still can't believe somebody can win the popular vote by two million fucking votes and still not win the election. Now we may be close to the apocalypse because of that stupid system.

Al Gore could have been President, and a better one at it.

I hope that the College electors vote with a conscience. They know they're on an unfair system, so it's time they vote for the national vote.

The music that The Economist uses in the following video is fitting.

Let's prepare ourselves for the inauguration of America's 45th President — Vladimir Putin.

Well, a week has passed since that orange goblin, Mr. Trump, was sworn in. He has since then boasted to everyone about the size of his inauguration crowd (and practically covered his ears while screaming when the media noted it wasn't as big as he said), kept bragging about the wall that he is totally going to build, and the American taxpayer shouldn't worry because Mexico will totally pay back the cost (even if Mexico keeps telling him to go fuck himself every time he brings it up), and enacted a ban on people from certain Muslim countries (not the ones where he has done business of course), essentially telling refugees fleeing goddamn ISIS, too bad, you're not getting in (unless you're Christian, of course).

However, among all those shitty news, I saw all those people marching in protest after the inauguration, and those protesting in the airports against the Muslim ban. Hundreds of thousands taking a stand against misogyny, xenophobia, racism, and all forms of bigotry. People of both ends of the spectrum clearly stating that they will fight against Trump's policies, and defend the right to a free press without governmental interference. So, before this thread is left to dust in the back of this subforum (somebody should create a "Trump Presidency" thread or something), I'll say: There's still a shimmer of hope in this world.

Americans, as somebody currently living in a dictatorship (let's hope you never get to that point), I give you my respect and support.
