Appeal to the Vote of Accession of Laiwan |
Qvait would like to file an appeal on the closed vote on Laiwanese accession on the grounds that it was denied membership because of its opposition to the comprehensive immigration framework that was proposed by Awesomiasa, which is not currently a law but only a proposal.
Mr. Jonathan Brennan Representative to the Southern Cooperation Organisation Pacific Republic of Qvait
There is no appeals provision in the Charter. Once accession is denied, the vote cannot be overridden or voided. This Council is further empowered to grant or deny accession on any account is deems valid. In the case of Laiwan, the Council had serious doubts on its political willingness to meet treaty commitments.
