I'm not trying to justify the actions of Putin, only reminding everyone that the US has done stuff almost as bad.

Everyone is at fault. However, at this moment, Russia is acting as the aggressor, expanding into Ukraine, violating that nation's sovereignty. I know that U.S. drone strikes often violate other nation's sovereignty, but it is against terrorists, not a foreign nation.
