S1E6 - Election Results, New Cabinet Policies, Evaluating the Outgoing Cabinet
#11

Abriter, I don't want to get into a further pissing match here and I don't want to argue the strengths or weaknesses of my campaign. I have a diametrically opposed view of the delegacy than you and most people here. That's fine. That's why we hold elections.

I simply don't appreciate this Monday morning quarterbacking of me about what I did or didn't do. It's unnecessary and, frankly, hurtful.

Apologies if I hurt your feelings with my comment. That wasn't my intent.

I think you are missing the point of these panels, tsu. Real Time not here to provide objective news coverage. Its purpose is to be a place for the dynamic discussion of political events. Your delegacy, like it or not, is a political event worth discussing, and it's actually necessary to discuss whether it was a good or a bad delegacy. Everyone has an opinion, and someone posted one comment saying you it seemed inactive, as is their right. Just like people can cheer your term, people can offer non-praise comments.

Actually, I'm not missing the point of the panels, Kris. I don't disagree that people have the right to say it, but I also have a right to be insulted and hurt by what was said. And the right to defend myself.

Shockingly, I'm not superhuman and things bother me -- like they do to everyone. You're aware of how it feels when admins get criticized. As much as Punchwood is trying to make a point here, we have ample proof that his emotions get the better of him.

As such, apologies if I called out what I thought was unfair treatment. In the future, I'll take criticism silently.

BTW Arb, I appreciate the apology. Thanks.

I admit there was little activity visible to us non-cabinet members, but that's to be expected. I for one, choose to believe that Tsu was nothing less than an exemplary Delegate and that no one cares more about TSP than Tsu.

Indeed. I am not at liberty to disclose much, but I believe the Cabinet will be releasing a report to take stock of their work this term in time to come. Perhaps in future, we could benefit from these reports being released twice a term instead of at the end of it, in the hopes of achieving greater transparency while not compromising Cabinet secrecy.

Sorry, but no. I want to be nice, but this time I won't. Your post shows just how much you don't get the point, tsu. One person said in one comment how your delegacy seemed inactive. One comment in a one-hour panel, and you have taken it as an insult on you and your delegacy. You are a politician now, and criticism comes with the job.

I have been there, both as delegate and as admin, and you know as well as I do that there is no point of comparison between the kind of criticism admins have faced in the past and a one-line comment in a panel that didn't even focus on the topic of your delegacy.

Nobody is saying criticism shouldn't affect you, but just as you can call things as you see them, so can others.
