Foreign Service

It is a pleasure to announce to the region the Official reformation of the South Pacific Foreign Service Program.  I have been ironing out the details since before taking office and am glad to lay out the first of a two phase project.  I saw that our previous Foreign Service lacked the ability to advance through the ranks and become a Master Diplomat.  I am very happy to announce that we have added that ability to our new Foreign Service Program.  You can now advance through the ranks of Diplomat and proudly display your rank in your forum signature.  As you advance through the ranks the Ministry will be involving our Diplomats in various aspects of handling our Foreign Affairs.  In the next post you will see our Point and Ambassador Ranking System.

What is Phase 1?

Phase 1 is the first part of our new Foreign Service Program.  We will be including select regions that we are Allied to or have close relations with.

What Regions are included?

The North Pacific, Balder, Europeia, Spiritus, Lazarus, the Rejected Realms, Equinox, and Albion

Who will be including in Phase 1 as Ambassadors

Phase 1 will be open to all interested Citizens that want to become an Ambassador.  Currently Punchwood, Feirmont, Arbiter08, Ryccia, and myself will be the first three in this phase of the project.

What will we be doing?

Members of the Phase 1 Foreign Service Program will be Representing the South Pacific abroad and posting materials distributed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  The first distribution will occur roughly one week after the announcement of Phase 1.

Will I get a Rank?

All Citizens participating in Phase 1 of the project will be given a special rank in the Foreign Service.  The rank will be Phase 1 Diplomat.  This honorary rank will stay with you throughout the first phase of the program.  Upon launching Phase 2 all persons holding the title of Phase 1 Diplomat will be given an Official Ranking and receive a special badge for participating in the program.

What's next?

In the next few days I will be assigning each participating Phase 1 Diplomat the regions they will be working in.  There is still time for Citizens to sign up for the program.

Point System
Acquiring Diplomatic Points is how you move up the ranks of the Foreign Service Program.
Posting Materials:
24 hours after released = 3 Points
72 hours after released = 1 Point

Reports
File a weekly report on activity in Assigned Regions = 10 Points
File a weekly report on activity in Assigned Regions 4 consecutive weeks = 25 Points

Posting in Assigned Regions
Post on an assigned regions forums twice per week (required posting does not count) = 5 Points
Post on an assigned regions forums twice per week for 4 consecutive weeks = 15 Points

Writing for Update or Regional Newspaper
Write a section of the Region Update = 15 Points
Write an Article for a TSP Regional Newspaper = 30 points

Additional points will be awarded for special assignments from the Minister of Foreign Affairs.  These points will be based on the assignment.
Members with more than one region will receive half the points for each activity in the additional regions.



Ambassador Ranks
Moving up the rank requires the necessary points and Promotion from the Minister of Foreign Affairs

Phase 1 Diplomat - Honorary Title for Phase 1 Ambassadors
Trainee - 0 - 30 points
Envoy - 31 - 50 points
Senior Envoy - 51 - 100 points
Ambassador - 101 - 150 points
Senior Ambassador - 151 - 225 points
Diplomat - 226 - 300 points
Senior Diplomat - 301 - 500 points
Master Diplomat - 501+ points
