Elas realmente são línguas muito parecidas (especialmente levando em consideração que as duas vieram do latim). Tanto que eu consigo claramente entender o que você escreveu em espanhol.

Eso es obvio, ya que España y Portugal, los lugares donde se originaron esos lenguajes derivados del latin, son vecinos y creo que muy relacionados.
