Back to the Future is one of my favourite movies. I first saw it earlier this year but it has since grown on me, and I am incredibly excited to be hosting this festival in honour of the very special date of 21 October 2015, when Marty and Doc Brown travel to save the future of his family.

Ahem. Okay, so this might all seem a little weird, especially since I'm not even officially the Minister of Regional Affairs for another two days (that's also in the future [stop that! - Ed.]), but it was brought to my attention by former Minister of Regional Affairs and current Permanent Justice @Kris Kringle, that tomorrow, the 21st October 2017, will mark the second anniversary of the festival and the day that Kris promised to open The Back to the Future Time Capsule, full of messages sent by TSPers to a nation created for the purpose to be resurrected on that date. Wow 2015...we were all so innocent back then...(I wonder - can we have a Back to the Past festival at some point??) I don't know if I like the Future all that much.
