Back to the Future Festival
#1

Back to the Future is one of my favourite movies. I first saw it earlier this year but it has since grown on me, and I am incredibly excited to be hosting this festival in honour of the very special date of 21 October 2015, when Marty and Doc Brown travel to save the future of his family.

As we approach the main event on 21 October 2015 at 4:29 PDT, share here your favourite clips form all three movies by using the following code:

In the words of Doc Brown, your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one!

It's great to be alive in a day that many considered The Future... Although some things might be slightly different than what they expected.

I leave here one of my favourite moments of the trilogy...

"What's this?" I hear you ask.  "Why have you resurrected a festival from two years ago celebrating a film from thirty years ago about a boy who travels another thirty years back into the past and which had a sequel partially set in the future, which is now actually our past, being two years ago, and which will be thirty years old itself in another two years (that's still in the future, though)?  And why did you just write that terribly confusing question and then attribute it to me, the reader, through the spurious use of quotation marks, thus implying it was a direction quotation from me, huh?  Huh!?"

Ahem.

Okay, so this might all seem a little weird, especially since I'm not even officially the Minister of Regional Affairs for another two days (that's also in the future [stop that! - Ed.]), but it was brought to my attention by former Minister of Regional Affairs and current Permanent Justice @Kris Kringle, that tomorrow, the 21st October 2017, will mark the second anniversary of the festival and the day that Kris promised to open The Back to the Future Time Capsule, full of messages sent by TSPers to a nation created for the purpose to be resurrected on that date.

As such, on a shoestring budget and at incredibly short notice, The Ministry of Regional Affairs (elect) brings you...

It's only here for the weekend, so why not enjoy yourself with the retro spam games and ancient forum tomfoolery (it's just so 2015... I mean... That's pre-Brexit, pre-Trump, pre-2016 drama (both NS and RL) It might as well have been last century!) and look out for the special Time Capsule Opening ceremony coming... some time tomorrow (that's the fu- [*bang* - Ed.]

Wow 2015...we were all so innocent back then...(I wonder - can we have a Back to the Past festival at some point??)  I don't know if I like the Future all that much.

Why not write one now? We'll be opening the Time Capsule at a later date, and reveal whatever messages are send this time around. Smile
