It says that max limits for an avatar is 180x180, but the amount of memory is 10 KB, which means it's around a limit of 50x50

We've always had small avatars, but .jpgs are smaller than .pngs.

This is a default setting we've never changed. I'll up the limit to something more... modern sometime today.
