Party Platform — TSP-FTW
#1
Rainbow
So guys, I finally decided to put my money where my mouth is and I'd like to lay out a platform for a proposed party "The South Pacific For The World" or TSP-FTW for short.

Quote:TSP-FTW takes pride in the fact that The South Pacific was the oldest feeder democracy in NationStates. The South Pacific not only debuted the wearing and lampshades and inclusion of llamas into the political process, but has been decided to open government and increased representation across the board. Most recently, this has led to us being the first GCR to experiment with RMB-based democracy.

  1. The democratic ideals of The South Pacific are second-to-none. The region has been and should remain a beacon of democratic ideals for the NationStates world pushing for increased democracy at home and abroad.
  2. The success of the the region has depended upon its ability to attract new nations and get them involved in our process. As such, the government and its elected officials should continuously work to get new players into the game.
  3. NationStates proper and the in-game region is the base of The South Pacific. As such, maintaining a delegate who acknowledges the legitimacy of the offsite government is of paramount importance, as are efforts to bridge the divide between The South Pacific's homes on multiple sites (i.e. in game, the offsite forums, Discord and IRC).

Again, I'm open to (and assume) anyone who is interested in joining TSP-FTW will adds points. However, I really see the role of TSP-FTW working to ensure future generations of SPers are welcomed into the game and given a platform to influence change.

Questions? Thoughts? Post below or contact me with questions/concerns/desires to join Smile

Potential: 4. An open and honest government is the best government; elected officials and legislators should aim to be open and forthright in all dealings.

I think there's a lot of overlap, sure. But, I really want to focus *this* party on bringing in newbies and helping them get involved. Ideally, this party would include a couple old-timers (like me!) and then a rotating crop of newbies who need help organizing campaigns/suggesting ideas and the like.
