The introduction of streamlined links and proper, easily understood, and summarized explanations of the different parts of our forums is what we need.

We should change the Airport to be titled "The Welcoming Center"

and have the first topic be titled Introduction To TSP

It should lay out the different areas of TSP that people can participate them and provide links to subsequent intro's for each area. (Government, rp, and SPSF threads)

Then someone can join the forums, go to a single thread and decide how they want to participate.

I believe this would be the most effective way to boost activity.


Edit: A summarized version of our charter in the government areas would also help. Newer players who are beginning to grasp how politics works will need this.

Ok. I have this odd sense like we're getting way of track here and we don't agree on what we're even doing here.

How do we feel about Glen's new post when you logon? I think it's a great addition and a step toward what Serres is suggesting.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what the technical possibilities are to have introductions to every area, unless we tag a post in each?

Edit: tsu, it is definitely a start however forcing the user into it can be annoying to some, specifically those that take the 'don't read anything and just press buttons till it works' approach when joining forums.

We can pin and lock them certainly.

Honestly, this might be something good to update at the start of every new term, as well, to make sure they don't stagnate.
