Admins: Powers, Persuasions and the like

Respectability politics doesn't make my assessment wrong, Rachel.

I think Cormac overreacted, but you can't deny that there was a problematic pattern of behaviour that brought us here. The way you and Kris acted as admins was by no means the only cause, but it was one of them. I'm not seeing any recognition on your part that this was the case.

Is that going to be the line trotted out every time an admin does anything or calls anyone out?

Yes, there have been issues. No, that doesn't mean every single thing we do from now on is problematic, or that we're not allowed to say anything about anything related to forum administration.

You guys have got to stop and start being reasonable. I have already posted numerous times about what problems there are and what I think we need to do to fix it. So stop saying I haven't. I'm getting sick of this continued attack against me every time I post.

This isn't a personal attack, Glen, it's a pretty well established fact.

The old Cabinet moved forums because they hated how you and Kris were managing thing here. Then they actually chose to dissolve the government and stage a coup rather than move back here when the courts ruled against them and ordered them to return.

It's obvious that the Admins' perceived actions and attitudes were a major motivator in the Cabinet's decision.

Denying it does nothing to help. Playing the victim does nothing to help either.

I'm not denying it! Stop saying I am!!!

What I'm saying is that you can't throw that at us every time we post about admin policy or do anything as admins. And you can't just keep saying I'm denying things, either.

People need to start being reasonable. Cormac deserves to be called out for overreacting. People need to stop waiting for a moment to threaten a forum move. Everybody needs to take a damn chill pill.

We've been discussing changes to forum administration, and neither I nor Kris have said or done anything to suggest we aren't going to part of those discussions. Ffs, I'm the first one who submitted a set of proposed changes.

So get off my back, please.

Ladies and Gentleman,

I think the whole idea of the upcoming Great Council is to put aside our past differences, petty squabble, and personal vendettas to move forward for TSP.
This isn't being done because of something one person did, it is being done because we have all contributed, or not contributed, to the current situation.
We have issues. We are aware of the issues. But if we continue to act the way that we did towards each other before these event occurred, then we will get nowhere fast.
I see that some of us are willing to set aside their feelings for each other in order to do what is best for TSP, but there are still some of us stuck in the past but claiming they are here to work on the future.
I ask that EVERYONE take a step back and think about what is best for TSP, not what is best for themselves. Please do not take this as a personal attack on anyone. Take it as a concerned citizen trying to make TSP better, but seeing us go down an all too familiar path.
