CSS Recall of Sam111
#11

Can we get links to the posts where he denied culpability, since they were never linked? I will probably support recall regardless, because it really isn't appropriate to have someone involved in the coup on the CSS right now, but I would still like the Assembly to have all of the pertinent evidence.

I'll second the motion to vote though, but yeah, would like to see links to those two posts.

I'm not seeing it... It appears to be a social commentary on the mentality of certain people in this region. Hardly a denial of guilt or actions. At worst it is him saying you should get his side of things for a complete picture.

If this is honestly all you've got, stop wasting our time. Dear me.

Due to the ensuing controversy, I will be exercising discretion as Chair of the Assembly to not put this recall up to vote for the time being. I encourage members to have a proper debate on such a significant issue before deciding to actually put this recall to vote.

Thank you.

However you want to spin it he was still a perpetrator of the coup and has refused to take any blame for it.

However you want to spin it. I've not seen him do any such thing. I see this as an opportunity to promote further divides in the region - oh I support the recall for the same reason Cormac has stated, but the arguments for it are worthless and needlessly combative.

Sam111 participated in a coup, and from my knowledge, did not help to restore the Coalition. This recall is necessary, since the CSS is a group of the most trusted Coalition members, and Sam has thrown his trustworthiness with the Transitional Government. Can he still partake in our government? By all means. But not as a CSS member.

I support the recall Henn, not for the argument given for it by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. I would mention that he was in contact with the North Pacific's government about ending the madness when it ended, but I doubt anyone would care.

I posted that part a bit late, since I was writing it based on the post before Awe's discretion.

In any case, he didn't take the chance to help the Coalition as greatly as Belschaft and Scylla may have done, however much he may have wanted it. He's not apologized for being involved in a coup of the region, as far as I know, and doesn't expect the Coalition to ensure its longevity by recalling him?
