Seems to me that anyone who gets a low "Power" score is automatically rated as some sort of a Defender.

Which is strange to me, because I have seen plenty of power hungry Defenders in my time.

That's a little different from the dimension, all are Power hungry to some extent. This test is basically a buzzword analyzer. The Buzzwords you sympathize with determine your ideology. Power, Martialism, and Conquest are the Buzzwords of raiders, while Defenders use buzzwords in opposition to those. The basic idea of the test is the further away from the center(50 50 50 50) the more extremist you are. In that sense my Test predicts that Militant Pacifists, like Albert Einstein, are the furthest away from the extreme Militarists. They still could be power-hungry but they will never say it.

I got Libertarian Socialist or Left-Libertarian Defender
54% Liberty, 77% Equality, 31% Stability and 25% Power!

Your commitment to both liberty and equality makes you a blend of the Liberal and the Socialist. For you liberty and equality are two parts of the same condition. Everyone has to be free to pursue their own way-of-life but in order for that to happen everyone must start with a similar basic standard of living. You value liberty particularly in cultural and personal life. You also value government intervention to promote equity in economic life while still supporting private enterprise.

You are generally opposed to militarism and would rather people settle disputes through diplomacy rather than war, but you aren't averse to defending the weak against oppressors.

Historical ideologies and personages that you may sympathize with are Jeffersonianism, Georgism, Robert Nozick, Immanuel Kant(Founder of Progressivism), Karl Popper, George Soros(Open Society), and some aspects of Sun Yat Sen's ideology.

The Nationstates equivalent is Unibotism

That last line makes me regret taking this quiz :/

Conservative Defender
46% Liberty, 31% Equality, 54% Stability and 17% Power!
You think stability is important for a society. You feel that ‘change for the sake of change’ is stupid and that political changes need to be limited to only those things that are demonstrably necessary. The traditional institutions of society have ‘stood the test of time’ and therefore work better than untested proposals. Another institution you value is government and you recognise it as a useful way of ensuring that only incremental change occurs. You are likely to embrace traditional culture. You tend to prefer a predominantly free political environment but only to the extent that it can be accommodated by traditional culture.
The Military should only be used to defend weak regions against what you consider the Nationstates equivalent of pirates or terrorists and seek to use the military only as an instrument to promote stability in Nationstates.

I don't even know what our traditional culture is!
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

Your result for The Independent vs Defender Test ...
Defender
17% Power and 36% Interests!

You are a Defender, you believe that conviction and loyalty to your principles are the only way of achieving your objectives. You believe that circumstances are irrelevant to considerations of morality and decency. It is passion and commitment that matters most to you.You are generally opposed to militarism and would rather people settle disputes through diplomacy rather than war, but you aren't averse to defending the weak against oppressors.

So, I'll be the first to admit that I don't yet understand much of the regional gameplay, but I can't resist a quiz and the statements were broadly easy to agree or disagree with on a political basis so:

Libertarian Socialist or Left-Libertarian Defender
54% Liberty, 85% Equality, 46% Stability and 17% Power!

I've been called a Left-Libertarian by quizzes before, so this is not too much of a surprise (although I really do prefer the emphasis on Socialism). I would say that as someone who only scored 54% on Liberty the emphasis on liberty in the description (same as quoted in Awe's post) seems a little bit much. I value community more than that description would suggest, but with recognition for the needs of the individual.

Good quiz, though.

Thank you for liking the quiz, if you scored just a little higher(86% and above) you would have scored Cosmopolitan Libertarian Socialist Defender Here is the description for it:

"Your level of commitment to equality is like that of the Communist but your recognition of other principles makes you more like the garden-variety Socialist in practice. The society posited by communists excites you but the methods they endorse scare you. On the other hand you accept the reformist methodology of socialists but find they are far too prepared to compromise with others. You spend time lamenting the ills of the world while begrudgingly accepting the way things are. You enjoy discussing how to improve the world but are stumped by the implementation.

Your way-of-life cannot accommodate the commitments of a full-time insurrectionist but you are keen to lend your spare time to all kinds of subversive behaviour. Besides which all those occupations and pickets can be lots of fun. In your own life you try to model alternative ways of living.

You are generally opposed to militarism and would rather people settle disputes through diplomacy rather than war, but you aren't averse to defending the weak against oppressors and exploiters of the people. Overall, you believe in Revolutionary Socialism or Democratic Socialism.

Historical Counterparts to this ideology may include George Orwell's socialism."
