Issue XIV

We'd have to conquer quite a lot of NS as in one quarter of NS and lots of slavery, racism, slaughter and lots of bad things. Lets be honest no empire was ever a nice one, TSP should become the first nice empire I think. Happywide

Yes. Totally yes. Nice empire. Nice imperialist. A good conscience is a clean conscience.

I would like for SPSF to carry raids and then ask in the polls if the natives want to be part of TSP as another province, colony or autonomous territory, or simply just make SPSF go if the people dedice it that way. We could offer protection from invaders and let their government, now as a provincial, colonial or autonomous government, resume if they have any.

Democratic imperialism best imperialism.

...
You mean we invade a region and ask natives if they want the invaders (who conveniently still control the region) if they want us to continue ruling them? Am I the only one who sees the inherent contradition between that and our traditional values of openness and regional sovereignty?

This should be a transparent process. We won't damage their WFE or anything, and we will protect them from raiders and such, since some raiders tend to destroy entire regions by expelling the natives and refounding the region. Their right to sovereignty will not be violated, as if they vote no, the SPSF goes out.

Right after we showed we can invade them at any time, if we so wish.

The SPSF is not as harsh as other armies. Im sure they don't expel natives right?

Do natives know that? Because I can already see them thinking we're yet another raider group that wants to take over.

If we let 'em know, they might think differently.

Maybe just ask all the natives in the region via telegram instead of harshly forcing our way of life on them, asking them if they want to or not. They're held at gunpoint. What else would they say?
