Regional Events The current Council of Nine (government of 10000 Islands) is composed of - Grub (Founder/Chief Executive) - Boltor (WA Delegate) - Markanite (Minister of Education) - HumanSanity (Minister of Immigration) - The Candy Lane (Minister of Labor) - Dominion of Compassion (Senior Senator for New Republica South) - Ananke II (Senator for Blue Canaria North) - Hahiha / USSR (Senator for Lyonesse East) - Lower Columbia (Senator for Himes West) - Ingame this month Grub ranked 93rd in the world for Largest Population, while Surprise was 3rd in the world for Most Politically Free, a very nice placement. Earth Federation (32), The Colonial Fleet (48), Lamborghini Murcielago (65) and Tzo (89) all did very well in the Most Scientifically Advanced category. Earth Federation also ended up in the top 100 for Largest Retail Industry with a placement as 75th in the world, with Berzerkastan close by at 89. Trade is not everything though. Blogotopia and New Dracora knows this and therefore ranked 51th and 70th in Highest Poor Incomes. A healthy society has a wellread population, with Cyrenean ranked 4th in the world for Largest Publishing Industry and New Gilboa 68th. Political News - During elections this month Lower Colombia kept his senate seat for Himes West while Hahiha won the Lyonnesse East seat. - With Hahiha becoming a senator, Minister of Education Markanite is looking for a new deputy. - This month Escanaba attracted almost 400 recruits. He was 10ki’s top recruiter for the month and earned the Echolilia Full throttle award, while Louisistan was the runner up recruiter. - Near the end of the month the Mystery Nation program was brought back with Escanaba finding one of the two nations created. Military TITO Command currently consists of: - Grub (Founder/Commander-in-Chief) - Klopstock (Field Commander) - Kanta Hame (Tactical Officer) - Witchcraft & Sorcery (Tactical Officer) - Woonsocket (Tactical Officer EF) - Louisistan (Executive Officer) TITO News - November proved to be a busy month for TITO. The number of successful missions remained constant (although there was a spike mid-month) and the relatively high number of occupied regions kept both Command Staff and troops busy. - The month was also busy with regards to celebrations. 104 Banbury Road, Hakketomat and Kortexia were all knighted by the TITO Field Commander for achieving 50 TITO Battle Stars. Former two-term Delegate Markanite was promoted to TITO Knight Battalion Commander for earning 150 Battle Stars. The Knights also threw a rousing party for Escanaba following his promotion to TITO Knight Fleet Commander. This rank is awarded to TITO Knights with more than 400 Battle Stars. Escanaba is only the fifth member of TITO to achieve this (following former Field Commanders Titanica, Anime Daisuki and Improving Wordiness as well as former Tactical Officer Boltor). He is the first member of TITO to have earned 400 Battle Stars without having served a single Day in TITO Command. - TITO Command once again extends its sincerest congratulations to 104 Banbury Road, Hakketomat, Kortexia, Markanite and Escanaba! Around the Islands - With all the shenanigans going on in Taco Island, Ater Nox decided to start a new Law School. It mostly seem to be aimed at crooked lawyers though, which doesn’t really come as a surprise, considering the kind of characters who frequent Taco Island... - For some reason the Taco Islands denizens have gotten their hands on a Trebuchet and are currently trying to take down the courthouse, possibly to keep from getting sued or going to jail. - Going with this month’s law team Boltor seems to be trying to frame Louisistan, while Ater Nox and Tanzoria are suing Hakketomat for slander. Fortunately for Hakketomat, the truth tends to be an decent defense against slander, and considering Ater Nox and Tanzoria’s reputations it’s hard to see how they can be further tarnished. - The featured nations in 10ki this month were Glassdrummond and Nodenmanns Land. The mission was conducted by the TITO Expeditionary Force, led by Woonsocket. - On December 6th, also known as TITO Medal Day, TITO held a large ceremony to award deserving members. Highlights included Woonsocket being decorated with the newly renamed "Woonsocket Bronze Star" for his leadership and dedication and The Iwwerdon Service Medal being awarded to Tanzoria, Escanaba and Smugglers and Mercs for their willing participation in countless long-term missions of the Expeditionary Force. These missions are part of the TITO's ongoing mission to assisst native populations in securing their regions against invader interference. Also as part of the TITO Medal Day ceremony, medals were awarded for ongoing good conduct (Meritorious Service Medal), for displaying TITO's core values (Steadfast Badge) and for reliable participation in update operations (TITO Quick Reaction Force Combat Pin). The newly created medal "Sword of TITO" was awarded to participants of the recent counter-invasion into the NSIA, a nazi invader region. - HumanSanity, who first joined TITO in 2011 and recently made his return to active duty was sworn in as the 88th Knight of TITO. - Witchcraft & Sorcery has completed 150 missions with TITO and was promoted to TITO Knight Battalion Commander, Louisistan was promoted to TITO Knight Commander after completing 100 successful TITO Missions. Around the Islands - Voting for the fifth annual Paffnia price for best new idea has just opened. - The featured nations this month were Rair Aria and Dialogos. - United Royal Islands was chosen as the latest rookie of the quarter. - In december Escanaba sent over 8,000 telegrams, recruiting almost 300 nations. Naba was our top recruiter this month and earned another Echolilia Full Throtle Award. Naba also reached 2 of the Weekly Mystery Nations this month. Congratulations and thank you. Humansanity was the runner up recruiter this month, sending over 1,000 telegrams. Tuga Nation and Alkasia both did good work recruiting as well. - A coup seems to have happened in Taco Island, with Witchcraft and Sorcery appointing himself emperor of the New Taco Order. - Possibly in connection with the above, Tanzoria has been taken hostage. It remains to be seen whether he’s got enough followers to pay the ransom. - Ater Nox, Boltor and Tanzoria have decided to start dispensing life advice. Taco Island citizens are adviced to be wary. The Election centered around the election of a new Delegate and two Senators. Kuriko and Dominion of Compassion, both longtime Islanders, announced candidacy for Delegate with Kuriko ultimately winning with 69.05% of the vote. For Senator of New Republica South Jabberwocky announced their bid for a second term. Sargon Reman initially announced their candidacy but soon withdrew their name and ran for the other Senate seat of Blue Canaria North, due to the fact that it was discovered that incumbent Kozmix had left for RL reasons. Both are in the same political party. Jabberwocky and Reman both were elected unopposed with 89% of votes cast for each. Around the Islands -Paffnia was award the Heart of the Islands Award for years of hard work in the civil service. - Kuriko's resolution, SC Resolution #262: Commend Frattastan II, has passed. - The XKI University has a new Dean and Deputy Dean, Palman and Sargon Reman respectively. - The Council has passed NS 280-1: Re-examination of the Banning of Land filled with People 4-0, with 4 delegations to the Chief Executive's prerogative and 1 vacancy. Chief Executive Woonsocket has accepted the Council's recommendation and unbanned him. The nominee is a known member of the defender community. - XKI did very well in the annual N-Day nuclear event, with our faction STIFF-ARM placing high in the rankings. We would like to thank our nuclear allies in The Union of Democratic States and The Hole To Hide In, as well as others, for an amazing job during the event. From the deployment of our military to The North Pacific in 2004 to the deployment of our military to Lazarus in 2015, we have stood against the aggressive expansion of the New Pacific Order (NPO) into other Game Created Regions. The Council of Nine, in this instance, feels that a statement about current events within the Gameplay sphere is necessary to establish our stance upon the NPO and their apparent operations in other regions.
