Voting Concluded: At Vote: Election Act: Reconciling 3 month vs. 4 month term
#41

That's assuming the Delegate is seen as the bigger office... Either way, the order of elections really has no relation to how many qualified people we have to run in them. With the Charter, it does envision the Delegate being elected first, though. We elected the Cabinet first this time because I thought it was important to have a stable government before doing something new with the Delegate.

I used quotation marks deliberately there because I don't really agree with that premise ... but I imagine that's hows others see it. Or — at least — that's how others have seen it in the past.

But, the order only matters insofar are people leave one post to run for another. Or, run for one post after losing another — see the LC race this term.

Since we seem to be going down a rabbit hole of rethinking everything that we just thought through fir the past four or so months, I'd like to motion Roavin's original proposal to a vote.
