Forum Reorg Proposal
#11

Thanks you. I don't want to fight here I just want something I know we might be able to achieve or know we won't. I do want to be able to cooperate with y'all as admins and I think you so much for y'all's help. Thank you for the proposal Tsu and I will await the decision before saying anything else.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

Just to reiterate, Omega, as Kris said, the admin team shouldn't be the arbiter of this. The government needs to decide such issues and we'll follow suit.

In either case, I'm glad this is an acceptable solution.

Just wondering why there is a Registration Forum and a Legislator Applications forum. Don't they essentially serve the same purpose?

My idea — and, admittedly, I added this is solely of my own volitional — is that the "Registration Forum" would be more like a general "Welcome Center" while the "Legislator Apps" would be ... well for that.

The setup currently is really just a holdover from the citizenship apps (obvi.) and I, personally, think bringing legislator apps under the Assembly just makes sense.

I'm not sure about the utility of an LC subforum. We've had one, and it's barely been used. Like, half the threads are LC members announcing their resignation.

But, they is more power and possible coordination now with the LC. And, in the past, we used the private area a bit.

It'll be up to them to decide if they need it — but I think it's something that we could think about.

I think a coordination subforum for the Delegate, LC and Chair might be useful - the Delegate and LC as they need to work out matters in regards to the in-game region, and the Chair and LC as they need to coordinate legislative matters.

Oh. Okay, I get it now. I'd be for that, as long as there are obvious links somewhere to point people to register

Also, the links to the registration thread on the quick links bar and the WFE should really be updated Smile

I am curious where things like the SPSF registration and information threads would fall under this organisation? I'd really want maximum exposure and easy viability for these things so I was assuming under the Registration/Information sections of the Welcome forum but if we're bringing Legislation applications under the Assembly are we also wanting to bring SPSF applications to the Military Affairs section?
On a similar note, although they aren't covered by my ministry, where are we thinking the Fellowship Programme and our Foreign Embassy & Consulate threads would fall under this arrangement?

I believe the government section is basically a skeleton, because we want input from those ministries about how to organize it.
