Amendment to the Charter, Article IV Section 7 and 8
#1

This is just to fix some accidental misnumbering.
Article IV (proposed Amendment) Wrote:7. Should a debate lead to multiple competing bills on a single issue, the Chair will bring the competing bills to vote separately and simultaneously, in the same way, regular business is done. The bill that gets the most aye votes and meets minimum threshold requirements will become law.

8. The Local Council representative will have the power to cast an additional weighted block vote worth of one-fifth 20% of all non-abstaining votes cast on bills, not including the block vote, giving them a one-sixth share of the total vote, excluding abstentions. The Chair will calculate how many votes are allotted to the representative at the close of each vote, rounding them to the nearest whole number, and will then add the representative’s total votes to the final tally.
The debate on these amendments will end on September 20th at 19:42 CDT.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

Historically the Chair was allowed to fix minor errors like this, though that seems to have slipped from the Charter. It might be a good idea to restore that power instead.

Take a look at HCLQ 1401.

I wrote HCLQ 1401 :p

However, the law was later amended to expand the powers of the chair.

So if the chair used to have these powers should we add them back? I mean I'm not proposing that (because that's corruption Happywide) but I think maybe we should talk about it.
