This post is to formally announce my resignation from the Local Council in accordance with the law, so that I may take up my newly elected office of Minister of Regional Affairs, effective from Saturday 22nd October.

I have really enjoyed being a Local Councillor, especially in engaging with the RMB community and helping people to get more involved. If you think this resignation means you'll see less of me there, then rest assured (or be warned), I fully intend to continue all that and more as MoRA.

I also want to take the time to thank everyone for their support over the last five months, support which gave me the confidence to run for the Local Council in the first place, that encouraged me when I ran for Chair of the Assembly and which had brought me to this point now. I'm not a confident person and so it is your help and encouragement that has pushed me this far and it is in honour of that that I hope to do by absolute best for the region in my new role.

Seraph allow me to say this. You have been an amzing Local Councillor (and I have polling data to back that up) and you were a formidable canidate in the CoA election. And I know that at least I am very excited to see where the Ministry will be after 4 months. Best of luck Mr. Minister Elect. I look forward to working wiith you and seeing where you take us.

Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.
