That would depend upon the method in which we cut down debate time.
do you propose a simple vote prior to the start of the debate or a situation where the officer declares an accelerated debate time?

But in my opinion, I don't think that the PJ needs any say in it, nor do I really think the PM does either. I believe that the CoA should let a motion for vote happen at any time, so long as the opportunity is given within 24 hours, for a motion to stop the vote is created. -Griffindor/Ebonhand

So the purpose of including the PM and PJ is to ensure that a CoA, PM and/or PJ don't go rogue and attempt to accelerate something such as a motion of no confidence, declaration of war or constitutional amendment.

It may not be needed on the forums because of our smaller less formal nature, but I would like to set up a recess system. Like what congresses and stuff do. Scheduled breaks within the assembly that people don't have to apply for LoA and stuff, legislation could still be introduced and debated (if need be), but votes would be delayed till the recess ended.
Also, I would like to create a mechanism to convene during a recess. Give the CoA/DCoA and/or a majority of the cabinet the ability to call the assembly to session for a pressing issue or appointment. If we did this, it would make the assembly look a lot more formal. What do you guys think? Could we add it to the debate list? -Griffindor/Ebonhand

Well, I think it would be interesting to have the Assembly take a recess, however, I'm not sure what others would think about that.

How about anyone else on the idea of recesses? It could reduce the stress of this job at the holiday times of the year.
