[Discussion] Voting Chamber
#11

I've always argued that the voting chamber should be public, as citizens have VA right to know how votes occur. What about keeping "active" votes private, but once they finish moving them to a single and easy to locate public archive? So that way it's public record once the vote has happened.

Seems like the most sensible approach. That way we don't have interference from the masses (and by the masses, I don't mean TSP's own residents, I mean foreign GPers) while voting, but everyone can see votes after the fact.

I agree with Bel and Cormac. I would ask the CoA to request from the Admins that the Assembly be given the infrastructure to allow for this.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

I also agree with Bel and Cormac. We could practically release the votes after the voting has finished. I know people might push for transparency here but I think the votes could be influenced if you look at the votes, especially if you know who votes what.

I don't really think that's really necessary when the CoA is an admin.

It's been past practice for completed votes to be archived. I didn't even realize they hadn't been.

During my term I was never informed of that past practice so... yeah.
Above all else, I hope to be a decent person.

But not in an easily locatable location.

There's a link called "Archived Laws" right under the Law forum. I'll create something similar for votes.
