Political issues of the future
#1

I was just thinking about Walmart and quarterly revenues and it got me thinking about a possibly serious political issue in the years to come. So, I have decided to create a thread to discuss issues that could become much more important in the future. If Walmart goes out of business and/or closes all of its brick and mortar stores, it will be because of the likes of Amazon. When that day comes, it will become a major issue as to whether access to internet is a human right. When American businesses like Walmart and Target no longer have physical stores, people will need the internet to purchase their goods. The only logical step is to make internet access available to everyone. I would like to hear your thoughts on this issue and on other potential issues, whether they are U.S.-based issues or issues of local significance to you. Tech industry leaders Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have a debate of their own on artificial intelligence.
