Ryccian Imperial Navy

The Ryccian Imperial Navy

The Ryccian Imperial Navy (or RIN or even just The Navy) is the naval branch of the Grand Armed Forces of the Empire (or, in shorter terms, the Ryccian Military).

Starfleet

The RIN’s starfleet is composed of Imperial-Class and the more new and modern Resurgent-Class Star Destroyers, which are Capital Ships, with the Imperial-Class being more prominent than the more expensive Resurgent-Class. The RIN also possesses Venator-Class Star Destroyers, which are classified as Starfighter Carriers in the Navy instead of being a proper Star Destroyer Capital Ship model.

The primary Heavy Cruiser of the Navy is the Inclusion-Class Cruiser (https://youtu.be/pZLAtGu3-98). Its main Light Cruiser Ship model is the Constitutional-Class Cruiser (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Arquitens...nd_cruiser), and the Navy’s chief Corvette model is the Dagger-Class Corvette (https://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Raider-class_corvette).

Additionally, the Empire has the Imperial-Class Interdictor Ships (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Interdictor), and their primary Frigate is the Razor-Class Frigate (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Razor-class_frigate).

Starfighters

The RIN’s main starfighter model is the cheap TIE series, with the classic TIE Fighter model comprising a majority of the Navy’s starfighters. TIE Interceptors are the second-most used starfighter model. TIE Vigilators, which are even less expensive than normal TIEs, are the standard reconnisance starfighter of the Navy, replacing their laser cannons with sensors (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE/rc_starfighter).

Depending on the rank of the pilot, a starfighter may or may not have deflector shields and a hyperdrive. For example, Privates, the lowest rank in the Starfighter Command, can only pilot regular TIE fighters with no deflector shields. If they are promoted to Fighters, the second lowest rank, they have an option to pilot TIE Interceptors, albeit they do not have deflector shields.

However, the Empire’s Navy is not as cheap as it seems (lol), as a section of the Starfighter Command, the Imperial Special Starfighter Forces (ISSF) does not use any TIE model by default. They have an option to stay with TIEs, but, by default, the ISSF uses the T-70 and T-85 X-Wing models, as well as the ARC-170 starfighter model. Only those who show great skill at starfighter piloting and combat are ever promoted to this position after one to three years of specialized training.
